One of those times in a press conference, very emphatic and somewhat annoyed because he said he was tired of the subject: “I am not Puertorican, I am not a Spaniard, I am not Italian, I am Mexican, Mexico is my country and will always be”. He was born in Puerto Rico, though, but as Costarican born singer Chabela Vargas once said: “We Mexicans are born wherever the fuck we want to” 😅
