I think he is speaking truth. Why is it every other country in the world can guard their borders but for some reason America has to have open borders and let everyone in? We have a right to safety, we have a right to have a country that is why there are immigration laws in place. How is it fair that those who paid their way here and took the legal path get punished while those who come over illegally get treated like they are royalty! How is having thousands of people sleeping on the streets and litter everywhere humane or them find the dream? How is it fair that so many who are in this country undocumented get tax payer money and can be flown all over the US on the American peoples dime? Where does this sense of entitlement come from? As he said we are only a country as long as we have a language, an identity etc. Those that come here legally, come and assimilate they do not come over to take and steal. Also, those who go for citizenship take an oath to this country and that is why they get the privilege to vote. It is not a racial issue it is a breaking the law and law abiding issue.

In Ireland, i had to be a legal resident for 2 years before my child could be.born as a legal citizen here. They changed the constitution here to stop the influx of pregnant "tourists" from having their babies here to get automatic citiienship. The kid had a right to stay but the parents argued that they should too, to raise their child. Anchored and living off of tax payers money until the kid turns 18 😮

Mr Kirk keeps emphasizing the difference between LEGAL and ILLEGAL immigrants. I am a LEGAL immigrant, I spent literally thousand of $ to become a Greencard holder. I have never broken any laws, I have been paying taxes like everybody else. I opened a business and providing jobs for our community. I am serving our community best I can, mainly by running a 501-c- shelter for unwanted animal in the area, supporting city shelters. I have a Greencard (which costs about $500.- to get renewed every 10 years). Yet, Mr Kirk threatens my eight to stay here because I do not have a passport? No, I am not a citizen, but that is not a requirement to stay in this country, work, raise a family and pay taxes. I find it scary that you threaten LEGAL immigrants with deportation because they have not yet applied for citizenship. I am actually inthe process of applying for citizenship, but I heard him say in one of his discussions with students that even citizens that were not born in the US should be second when it comes to work and housing. Scary thought. Please clarify

I think he phrases his words just fine. We are so conditioned to not calling a spade a spade and as a result skirting around issues that everyone is afraid to talk about because they fear being labeled as bad is why the UK is now in the shape it is in. Citizens have rights to live here not because of place of birth but also because the majority of Americans pay taxes, give military service, and abiding by the laws of the country. The legal process is not impossible, but it is time consuming and sometimes stressful. Just because of those things though that doesn't give anyone the right to come here illegally. Anything worth something demands hard work and commitment. My son in law did it LEGALLY. Now he's flourishing and not to mention he knows US history better than half of gen Z. The problem is none of these young kids want to work hard.
