US' illegal immigrants crisis: Elon Musk visits Texas to show 'unfiltered' view of border situation

Amidst the ongoing migrant crisis in the US, billionaire Elon Musk visited the Texas border with Mexico and live-streamed his tour of the area to give people a sense of the real situation of the migrant crisis. "Went to the Eagle Pass border crossing to see what’s really going on," Musk posted on the X app on Thursday. Musk, wearing a black cowboy hat, live-streamed on his platform and said that he was going to go around and speak with officials and "eyeball the situation to get the real story."

To make it clear why the USA has done so well over the past 100 years. Because they live at the expense of third countries and put other countries under pressure with their military and exploit their power through the military. Now the situations in other countries are changing. Due to man-made climate change, many people can no longer stay in their own countries in the long term. We have the situation in North Africa towards Europe and of course also from Latin America towards the USA. Who is surprised? There will be no long-term solutions to this. When climate change really hits, there will be a big exodus from one region to the other within the USA and even then there will be differences and stress between US citizens. How do you want to raise a family that has to deal with hurricanes every year in Florida. Or how do you want to live somewhere where it gets to 50 degrees Celsius in the summer and the drinking water is slowly running out? The global flow of refugees will continue to grow.

Same here, before I came here I had to go through interviews in US ambassy obtain a visa then I came here, then I had to go through various legal processes to get permanent residency (Green Card) here legally, which took me 10 years in total. I haven't spent a single day illegally on US soil, some say they don't have a choice but that's nonsense, there always is a choice the truth is doing it legally is harder therefore they do it illegally. I could have just came illegally through the border but that's not a right thing to do. You have to contribute to the society that you're hoping to live in. You can't do this, everything has a price and if you want to be American you have to pay the price for that as well, you have to earn it. I hope US government does something about this. This is getting out of hand.

My husband left the Texas oil fields 5 years ago. During the time that he was working there, along the border mostly, he ran into many instances of people sneaking across the border and that was even two years of the border being closed while we had the remain in Mexico policy. The people he would see weren’t women or children fleeing oppression as the media likes to tell us. They were always men and many looked like gang members. These were dangerous people who would often come into the oil camps. You weren’t supposed to have firearms on site but everyone was packing because it was too dangerous not to. When US helps Mexico develop trained work force and create jobs, as a precondition Mexico can be asked to close its South border. My wife is a legal immigrant, she’s educated and speaks English fluently. It took us a year and a half for her to get here, and then another 6 months to get a green card. Not to mention the thousands and thousands of dollars in immigration fees and costs of moving to a different country. This is seriously a slap in the face to all of our effort, money, and time.
