oh my god i could talk about this for hours. as a concessionist the hardest job was obviously the kettle--but we actually had multiple types of popcorn, including caramel popcorn, where you literally pour brown sugar into the kettle to make it, and it ALWAYS BURNED. so that kettle was the "bad" one where you could literally never get the burned spots out. with that said, I always volunteered to clean the kettles because i HATED doing dishes (we served food so there were plates with french fries and chicken fingers and stuff that had to get washed) and then the dishwasher itself had to be cleaned. i much preferred cleaning the kettle over scraping congealed nacho cheese off of plates. the other option when closing was taking out every single garbage bag in the building. I stuck to the kettle. three best kettle stories off the top of my head: -we had a kid clean it once who forgot he put the chemicals in with the heat on and walked away. as you may expect, the fire department came. -we had a kid who added chemical+water to the kettle to clean it, and then instead of dumping the mixture out into a pan when it was time to wipe the inside, she just dumped it right into the bottom of the popper. so near-boiling-hot chemical got inside the wires of the machine and the electronics all broke. -we had a guy who should have known better (me) pick up a pan with the hot chemical without a heat glove and immediately spill it all over his bare arms (yes I have the security camera footage of me doing it) I also got the hot chemical in my eye once. it condensated on the top of the popper and i stuck my head in to clean it and it dripped into my eye ball. had to go to the emergency room. with that said, I would have taken any of those closing duties over closing as a manager. the paperwork and money counting and nonsense time card punching stuff was even worse.

@ oh yea as much as i hate the popper i hate washing dishes more. it just grosses me out wayyy too much. for our “gourmet” popcorn we just have prepackaged popcorn like caramel or cheddar and the third one gets changed out every few months but we just put them all in a warmer. we also had to call the fire department one night bc someone just poured the chemicals with no water. and one morning i was coming to open and when i went to do the first batch of popcorn thats meant to be thrown away i was greeted by a kettle full of black chemically water. was sooo fun to clean🙄

@@HorrorHomesteadoh god thats the worst… i worked at a time share lodge with a popcorn machine and someone, instead of cleaning it with the chemicals, decided to remove the entire kettle mechanism from inside and submerge it in a sink of water to clean it. understandable, all the wiring got soaked with water, soap, chemicals… yeah. i worked the next day. the machine started smoking and i turned it off. i told my coworker (same idiot who broke it the night before) when she came in NOT to turn it on because it was smoking and would catch fire. She said okay. The second I left, she decided she wanted popcorn and turned it on. It caught fire. Like, completely on fire. She texted me freaking out and i was like WHAT DID I TELL YOU… The worst part was hearing for the next several weeks angry complaints about the lack of popcorn…

Idk if anyone commented on this, but the reason the cat hisses at the Rabbit is a reference to a purported belief that ancient Egyptians had, that cats could see ghosts and evil spirits, and would hiss to scare them back to the realm of the dead. It's strange to me that, with the original two iterations of this story, people were convinced they couldn't be canon because of all the inconsistencies with original lore (6 kids, party room, Jeff's Pizza, etc.) but now that this version has seemingly made alterations to make sure it fits with the rest (5 kids in a storage/safe room, Jeff's is only half the original Freddy's, so the Fazbear's Fright team can still find William in the back room of the abandoned section) people are saying this can't be canon cause it doesn't fit with the original stories. To me, it seems much simpler to say that the first two versions aren't canon because of their contradictions, and this book (which is the third in a release of two other game-canon books) has intentionally "fixed" those contradictions to show it's game-canon. I understand the idea that each release in the interactive novels may just be relevant to their particular series (VIP - Tales From the Pizzaplex, TWB - Gameline, RTTP - Frights) but as far as we know VIP is supposed to be gameline. Plus, with this being a retelling, it can't really be "canon" to Frights, as it overwrites it, similarly to how ITP Game overwrites the original as well, and thus must be a separate continuity. To use another series as an example - Harry Potter, despite having close stories in both movies and books, HAVE to be separate continuities due to the small changes in dialogue, character actions, excluded/extra scenes, etc. It also seems like the Pizzaplex book coming out next year will be game canon as well, so unless they start announcing Movie and Freddy in Space interactive novels, I think it's safe to say this series is intended to be games' continuity (especially with inclusions like the plush Baby from Security Breach).

Now that I’ve finished the video- the reason Gabrielle doesn’t go to school in that one path is stated in the story- her dad stopping the car to get Oswald, and sitting there in the car talking with him, was making him late to the meeting. So he was out of time to take her to school and be back in time for the meeting. He says some line about Oswald holding him up, and I’m pretty sure thats what it meant. Also, theres nothing to say the Anti-Bunny Avengers didn’t meet up still. We have no clue what happened while Oswald was at school. They still could have met up that morning, but the path diverged and they chose not to go to Jeff’s that night. Or they still did- the only changes from their perspective is that their “leader” took his kid to school on time, instead of Oswald being present. Then either the yellow rabbit kills them all like in that path (and we wouldn’t know til the next day, after the book is over, when Oswald goes to school and Gabrielle is absent because her dad just died), then cleans up the mess before picking Oswald up from school. Jeff was hiding in the kitchen, so the yellow rabbit didn’t kill him. Or maybe the yellow rabbit just killed them all before they got to Jeff’s pizza, so there was no need for Jeff to be a pseudo witness lol. Even if Jeff was, I doubt he’d tell Oswald when he got there that night that some group held up the place earlier. Theres a lot of different ways the avengers meeting could have gone without Oswald and Gabrielle in attendance. I sure HOPE its not the “yellow rabbit murders them all” route cuz then rip our 1985 buddy. Most likely, I think the yellow rabbit being the leader was something he spent time organizing in his short time in the present day, which would be super fast to do but idk he has the internet now. Since i really doubt Oswald’s dad was making that group himself. Considering he didn’t know what the yellow rabbit was at the end of this route. If he were the real leader, he’d have been like “holy crap you got him” or something lol. So I think its more likely that either the bunny avengers were assembled in the short time the yellow rabbit was in our time period, or he joined it as the leader in the time he was there cuz it didnt have a leader beforehand or something and was just a bunch of adults on 4chan talking about the incident and the yellow rabbit posts like “hey lets meet up tomorrow and do somethin about it” but ghosts them if oswald doesnt show up. Well, in any case, i can write like 50 fanfiction about what happens to them while oswald is at school but regardless, theres nothing to contradict them still having a meeting that day. They just had it without oswald and gabrielle attending.

So I don’t know if anyone else has answered this. But I’m pretty sure the reason Gabrielle goes to school when Oswald does, and doesn’t when he doesn’t, is because when Oswald doesn’t go to school, that has him run into Chip, her Dad and he gets caught up with Os, and therefore making him too late to drop her off at school on time, and so she skips. But when Oswald goes to school, he’s not there to run into Chip making him late, and therefore he can take Gabrielle to school on time! The 'old chip' thing gave me a borderline heart attack when I first saw it, but then I kinda remembered it isn't time travel. The Ballpit is a collection of several spirits' memories, emotions, dreams, etc all tied around Freddy's. Chip IS a real person and has memories tied to Freddy's, so when Oswald entered The Pit and interacted with 1985 Chip, he was effectively forging new memories/altering old memories that Chip had. Chip would have never remembered Oswald if not for Oswald entering it and making himself known. The only thing I still have some issue with is the "run from 1985 Freddy's and you become old" thing, however I'm sorta convinced Oswald is STILL in the Ballpit in that ending, but the Ballpit's memories merely moved to the modern day instead of 1985, thus causing Oswald to rapidly age

There's more evidence later, but for now I'll just point at how un-fnaf like this whole section is, all the weird questions Chip's claims about what he's been up to poise, and how this doesn't fit with the lore. And how Gabrielle is somehow both going to school and not. There's a cut appearance of old man consquences from the game where he warns Oswald to try to avoid getting stuck in the pit and alludes to there being others trapped in there who are different (ie Millie and the rest of Eleanor's victims). I think the into the pit game was originally more trippy, and that aspect was reworked for the book.

Old Chip and the avengers is totally a hallucination/dream When the leader is shown, Gabrielle says “there IT is” instead of him/her/they. Only makes sense if it’s the rabbit even though Oz is the only one who should know that the leader is an it Plus, if the leader is oz’s dad, the avengers would ABSOLUTELY know who oz is and just tell him that the leader is his dad. “Hey Oz, get in. Your dad has told me a lot about you, he’s leading our little group in taking down the rabbit and we could use your help” If Oz talked about how he’s the only one who knows his dad is the rabbit, why tf wouldn’t the avengers, or at least Chip, believe him when he says the leader is the rabbit. Yeah it’s a shock but just straight up dismissing him? Like the stereotypical adults in the mind of a child would? Why would the avengers even be meeting up today? They didn’t know the rabbit was back He immediately knows and understands anything Oz brings up He “is building a team to fight that bunny mascot” which absolutely is something a child would think up, his older friends coming to help him “The adults won’t believe us, trust me I’ve tried” no Oz, you tried with one adult, your mom. You didn’t try with the adults who know about and are actively hunting the rabbit, don’t lie to GibbyGoo Chip calls himself a “grownup” which is a very child word. Most grownups call themselves adults Who just drops off their a child they consider a friend on the side of the road, much less when a killer rabbit has infiltrated his family with intent to kill him. Real Richard move Chip When everything goes wrong, his closest friend in the avengers is the first and most brutal death, like a nightmare His cool friend that’s even cooler now “I think you’re pretty cool too” Weird Mike moving away timeline, almost like Oz thought of Chip first and when the idea of Mike popped up, he needed a reason for Mike to be gone. Quite stereotypical “hes a grownup with a wife and kids now!” Idea of what growing up entails Chip would, if he was a real parent, either leave GabGab with the mom or take the extra 10 minutes to drop her off at school so she doesn’t tango with the rabbit famous for murdering children Not to mention, why tf would Chip tell Gooby about the murder rabbit kill squad? That’s adult shiz you’d leave your kids out of. That’s like a cop grabbing his kid before an armed drug bust and just letting her tag along inside Oz asking what school G-gal goes to is weird. Some FrightsFiction evidence I noticed (which could be a stretch idk) is where Oswald's dad in this book DOESN'T work at Snack Space like he did in the original Frights story. In Security Breach, we can find a Snack Space at the Pizzaplex, which - before this book - seemed like a potential hint that the two series are in the same continuity (obviously not definitive, just an interesting connection). However, if Return to the Pit is "actually" what happened, and Into the Pit is an in-universe retelling of the true event by Fazbear, could we argue that they were putting in product placement for Snack Space by having Os' dad work there? It'd be like McDonald's creating historical fiction and changing it so a character worked at McDonald's instead of a local burger joint. Obviously this isn't "nail-in-the-coffin" stuff, but I just thought it was interesting to REMOVE Os' dad working at Snack Space, considering we have a confirmed game's continuity version of Snack Space. (In fairness though, he also doesn't work at Snack Space in the ITP Game).
