In this video I show you what would happen if we shined the world's most powerful laser at the moon. I start from a small handheld laser and move up in power and show you what it would look like from the moon and what the strongest laser would actually do to the moon.

When I was attending language classes in Garnish Germany in winter 1995, I saw a group of about 7 young men and women pull some device about the size of a small car and it was a laser. They fired it at the moon twice. Using binoculars and a telescope looking for a reflection. Since it was so cold, I didn't expect humidity in the air nor inseci. However, when it was fired there was a loud crackling along with small bright lights and miniature lightening flashes high above. I was impressed.they kept their lenses on the moon for about 30 minutes.
