As his close personal friend I couldn’t agree more , his eyes are pensive yet hollow . Gone are the days his eyes lighting up due to some light riffing of our Asiatic brethren like all of his close friends know he loves to engage in. His once warm and friendly gaze now more closely resembles 2 ball bearings stuck in some clay ; Cold, Unfeeling and formless. I’ve watched and been actively involved in getting him east coast sober over the past 15 years, driving him to meetings and talking to his sponsors . I just didn’t know how to react when he told me he drank a beer at the hotel bar . Was it rage , disappointment or passion I was feeling ? My close personal friend is destroying his life in front of my eyes and I can’t do anything but have hot anonymous gay sex at parks that are walking distance of my parents house.
