Thanks T for the reaction, glad you enjoyed it. RIP to guitarist Jeff LaBar (2021).Singer, guitarist Tom Keifer was diagnosed with paralysis of the left vocal cord. He had surgeries on his vocal cords and was forced to learn how to sing again because of the paralysis of his left cord. I saw Cinderella in 2010 open for the Scorpions and he sounded great. Saw Keifer solo in 2013 and he was great then too.

"Somebody Save Me" is a fantastic, hard rocking song by Cinderella (from the same album as "Shake Me"). Long Cold Winter, their second album, was more evolved and mature, and quite good, with "Gypsy Road" probably the most popular song from it.

@FrethKindheart Жыл бұрын
In my opinion their best album was Night Songs because they were able to capture the music of that era so perfectly, and each song had a unique sound. I bought their next two albums, hoping they would stick with their initial sound, but they went more a laid back bluesy route. That's not to say they didn't have great songs, they did, but for a fan expecting the second album to be hard-hitting, it was a departure I wasn't ready for. I don't know if they ever returned to their original form, most likely because the 90's hit and grunge took over. Therefore, I recommend primarily all of the songs on the Night Songs album because it is their 80's metal sound.

I saw Cinderella open for Bon Jovi at the Spectrum in Philadelphia in 1987. They were such a tight band live, they sounded just like the record. Incredibly solid pros.
@hmpz36911 Жыл бұрын
Ah someone else from/near Philly! Knew them & many area bands, later worked with many more! Twas the greatest time to grow up! I am up front in this video, & many others. Am next to Erik (B) & Have my spiked cuff on🤘. My friend was dating Jeff. I was at the show that Jon Bon Jovi (who we also knew) first saw them & offered to help them. Back when they were just a jeans & t-shirt Rock band! So were Teeze, who were AMAZING! Lables were pushing for Glam types. I don't think they gave in so much to be called Glam (& for those who use the "hair" KNOW tis a y2k lable that was twisted! Dee Snider started the term to lump all the LONG HAIRED METAL together! NOT A GLAM ONLY REFERENCE!) That being said- There are many great bands we had from the area. Bon Jovi was one of the firsts of that ilk to take off. So many from Punk & Thrash to mention, Ramones, Misfits, Mentors, Deadly Blessing, Blood Feast, Anvil Bitch, Faith Or Fear, WrathChild, Non-Fiction ETC- More for another time. Anyways, i still enjoy his early stuff most. Like others, later stuff is okay but just lacking some of the heart & hungriness the first albums had, which is extremely common. White Lion was the best & so under-rated! Again, not Glam! No makeup, hairspray & glitter! Jeans & t-shirt Brooklyn boys mostly. Mike is Danish. & All my Thrasher friends i drug to see them wound up loving them! Skid Row, Trixter, Slaughter & others also not Glam yet falsely thrown in thus looked down on too much. All need to be explored more. Musical Journeys are endless! Enjoy! @The Adventures Of TNT Deeper dive nites?

I saw them open for AC/DC in Little Rock, Arkansas in 1988. Maybe the best opening act I've ever seen. Also, according to Cinderella, they always loved Little Rock because the first time they were here, the fans were so wild outside the coliseum they almost tipped their tour bus over with their bare hands!
