B1, There was a reason you listened to American music and the reason is it's the best period. Black FBA people started every music genre;Blues, Country, Jazz, Hip-Hop, Rock, and many reggae artists said they were influenced by black FBA people. This is my second time watching this amazing performance and I didn't understand a word except English, but American music is still king around the world. Hip-Hop is in the Olympics this year not African music.

These songs played on these instruments & vocals are the songs brought to the U.S. The minor tones were retained & transformed into what we now call "the Blues." Every minor scale was retained while the lyrics poets gave the people their commentary of the happens of the day.
