Have you ever wanted to cut that pesky inner barrel down to proper size? Well, now you can!
I've been meaning to post this for a while now. This here is my Echo1 P90 that has been highly upgraded.
Enjoy!
Also, new logo! :D
How am I doing? Leave a comment to critique, or to suggest I do something different! :]

Watched old vids from Japanese techs from over a decade ago, they say to cut the inner-barrel so that it sits inside the outer barrel about 1cm back from the exit port. This is to create a cushion of air around the BB as it leaves the barrel, helping stabilize the backspin. Similar to how Maple Leaf Crazy Jet works. Is there some physics truth to this?

I read somewhere that paper towel causes micro scratches in your barrel, maybe just for brass? I don't know if this is true or not, I personally use cut up microfiber cloth because it cleans nice!

It doesn't really. I've used paper towels forever. Of course, micro fiber is way better.

You can use a metal lathe to do it if you/your dad's garage or if you know someone that has one, doing it on a lathe like i did will end up just like buying one brand new, it will give you a perfect crowining on the inside if you do it right :)

Is it ok to cut the barrel of a G&G CM16 Carbine? I would prefer a short barrel but would it hurt the functionality?

do you have to crown your barrel? it doesnt seem necessary
@AgentMo
@AgentMo 5 жыл бұрын
Its absolutely essential. Without crowning it, the bb wont even fit through the tip. The cutting process makes the cutting point flare inward quite a bit

Do you have to sand the crown or polish with grinding paste? Or just leave it as it is?

Yes, i know, the video has 8 years old, but your barrell It was not too long to cut, just putting the flash hider on it was enough to cover the excess.

is there any risk in damaging the barrel by putting it in the drill? it seems like drill clamps on it right where the bucking goes

Would this affect the accuracy at all? Also, Couldn't you use the drill for the pipe cutter?
@Shveet
@Shveet 8 жыл бұрын
implying you use a regular 6.03 - and you are only cutting an inch or two - you might notice a small difference. but if you are accustomed to a 30 inch barrel and shortening it to 8inches. yes there will be a huge difference. if i recall correctly 6.01 tight bore barrels are actually 6.03 at the feed end and 6.01 at the other, cutting a section of a 6.01 might show a significant change
