About as cold as water from a tap. Not fridge cold, but a gentle happy chill like morning grass on bare feet.

Official Seal of Old Peculier - on Theakston's Wall You may be familiar with the Theakston's beer, but Old Peculier has a story. Masham was given to the Minster of York in the medieval period but, as the Archbishop did not wish to make the long journey north to oversee the town's affairs, the parish was designated a Peculier... This is were the Ale retains it's name from!! the spelling is correct

Great review mate. The Coca Cola reference was inspired. I also get that sort of mild sweetness. Such a nice and easy to get brew. Would love to try this on cask. Cheers bloke!

@sofakingdrunk66 AW CHEERS MATE!!! You seen what has happened to some of these beers adding E-Number colourings flavourings etc nowdays? Wells & Youngs Banana Bread Beer + Bombardier. And Courage Directors too. Ruined once good beers. I hope this never goes down that route. It's too nice. I'll be heartbroken,

coffee, toffee, liquorice, blackcurrant (hall's?), banana. Could sniff this all day. Rich, creamy mouthfeel and blackberry jam with liquorice. Lovely bittersweet finish. Any wonder it is so well loved?

Tried this the other day, sadly, it wasn't for me. It tasted like someone mixed an ashtray in it.
