After marrying my husband I started learning about Islam as he made me convert to Islam, I realised that Islam is a beautiful, enriching religion, but soon after few months things changed. My in-laws and my husband changed and became so mean and I kept quoting Islamic verses to them about their behaviour, but this only seemed to aggravate all of them even more. It looks more like Islam teaches us one way of life but some of us mulsims follow something else. It's because of people like this that Muslims everywhere r classified in bad ways. If all Muslims followed the real way, the right path of Allah Thaala, the world would be a better place to live in.

The only part of Islam men following is polygamy marriages nowadays, rest of the Deen don't matter to them!... First, the Qur'an does not give men the blanket right to have more than one wife. Polygamy is not a right, but a responsibility to ensure social justice for orphans. What Allah has granted is in fact a restriction on an existing practice of that time when men could marry as many wives as they wanted. Second, because polygamy is not a right, Allah placed conditions on its practice. There is an overriding concern for justice in this short verse, and conditions are set to ensure that justice is done. Condition A: Polygyny is permitted within the context of war and orphans. It is permitted only if the men fear they would not be able to deal justly with the orphans. Condition B: The man who wants to be polygynous must have the capacity to be fair and just to all his wives. The verse is a call for just conduct towards women, not a right for men to fulfill their alleged lustful desires or their egos. And just treatment here means more than a man's financial capacity to support more than one wife: He must be fair in all ways, including in the time, support, and companionship he provides to his wives and children. Condition C: If the man fears he cannot deal justly with all his wives, then Allah advocates that he should marry only one as this will ensure equality. This is explicitly stated in the verse.

Wow, I'm impressed, your words really make me think. It brought tears to my eyes! Thank you! I'm a Christian American, but this is so true what you say, and a powerful message no matter what religion a person has. I just had a discussion yesterday about not being on the internet too much with my daughter, who likes to talk with her friends from school, and I told her, it's better to have a connection with them in real not over a computer. We are becoming a society of where we are losing our humanity, and addicted to technology, which is why I try to make most of my time every day to spend away from my phone and the internet all together.
@Mojosfire3 жыл бұрын
@Aisha Noor I have been with my man for years, and we are married. He's not like that at all. He does not abuse me. I have the freedom to do what I want, even go out at night and hang out with some of my lady friends, because he trusts me, and knows I'd never cheat on him, and I trust him the same and he can go out with his friends, because it's called "Trust." He will call me when he's with them, because he will be missing me, and can't wait to come spend time with me, because that's how real love makes you feel. If he was after a green card, he could of done that years ago and left me, but we took things very slow, and not just hop into a relationship right away. We were strictly friends for three years, before we come together in a relationship. You're just prejudice, and you're generalizing. Do you know every single Arabian Muslim man in world personally?? If you don't, and I know you don't, then shut the heck up, your ignorance is showing. Don't take your hate and disgust out on every Muslim man, just because you hooked up with the wrong guy, and if you haven't been in a relationship with one, then you've been watching stereotyping hate videos that favor your deep rooted racism!

This is very enlightening. You must spend time with your family. And build your family realationship there are people out here that will any and everything to pull you apart. Just remember like i do so often . My husband is my king and i his queen . Believe none of what you hear and half of what you see. Marriage is very sacred. AHUMDILLILAH Thank You ALLAH. FOR MY HUSBAND. BLESS MY FAMILY ON BOTH SIDES. BLESS MY HUSBAND AND I WITH MANY OF FRUIT. AMEEN

Assalam o alaikum Sheikh...just heard this lecture of urs today ...n it made me cry badly ...bcoz I was reminded of this same childhood...that I spent with parents...the kind that u spoke about ...the parents..who were not supposed to be parents...n I passed that whole period praying to Allah swt ...to never make me such a parent...n if I'm supposed to be such a parent...than ...don't make me a parent at all

I respect you tremendously Brother Mufti Menk!!! 😭😭😭for speaking about our silent suffering.in times when most religious leaders try to be politically correct..they give big talks on sufferings in Islamic countries etc & conveniently avoid the topic of sufferings going in homes.how will Muslims ever prosper when their homes are cells of oppression. You are courageous & honest Mashaallah! May Allah reward u immensely & keep u & yr family in good health & Iman Inshaallah!👍👍👍
