Last October my husband and I did a lifestyle visit to The Villages. We enjoyed eating at Prima, Blue Fin, and Broken Egg Cafe. We recommend all three. Thanks for today's video of Brownwood Paddock Square. Brings back great memories of our time there.

I like McAlister’s and Blue Fin. The theater was a cool place with lots of antique stuff inside

Oh interesting! We are big McAlisters fans and need to try Blue Fin! Thanks for watching!

I'd lived in Mount Dora a couple years before I'd even thought of going to the Villages. I only did because one of my dearest friends is in a band that plays at all the Villages squares. That began my Villages journey. I've now been to all of the squares except for Sawgrass. I've been to half the restaurants. I know the sound guys that mix at the squares. I know some of the regulars. This place is really something else. I see the attraction for those looking for this lifestyle.

Oh cool! Glad you got to experience it. It is crazy how much stuff is actually out there. And all the restaurants they have! There is just a ton to see. Hopefully you will get to visit Sawgrass sometime!

Many people agree Brownwood Paddock Square is the best square, probably because of the bleachers. Yes, the view and walk around Lake Sumter Landing is to die for, but … Many good restaurants at Brownwood … My favorites: Cody’s, Prima, Harvest, Bluefin, Island Poke. Lots of shopping too … Golf Central is great. The new Eastport Square being built is supposed to be the best of all the squares. We’ll see 🤷🏼♂️ when it’s completed.

It’s interesting to explore all of the squares. That makes sense about the bleachers though. We will be interested to hear more about the new square. Thanks for watching!

Why do I not catch you at Brownwood! I live across the street. Someday maybe!
@thealtemlife8 ай бұрын
Someday! You live very close then and probably visit a lot!

We just started watching and enjoy your videos so much. We just bought a home in the Villages and your restaurant reviews are great! Not sure if you’ve tried Piesanos in Lake Deaton Plaza but might want to try it. We liked the pizza and the eggplant parm so far.

Hello! Thank you for checking us out. We appreciate the compliment and the support! I believe we did try Piesanos near Brownwood in The Villages. We did really like it so we will have to go back! Thanks so much for the suggestion and again we appreciate you taking time to watch us!

We live not too far from Brownwood so we adore it! We like Blue Fin, Cody’s, Scooples, Too Jay’s, McAllister’s, Prima, Harvest, Island Poke Fin (for their Pineapple Dole Whips). For shopping Tommy Bahama (outlet prices) and the Logo store (The Village’s apparel) & Spice & Tea Shop. Lots to see & do!!

Thanks for all this info! We will have to go to some of those stores sometime!

Do not live there but we were there for a few days last week and when it’s hot this walking will wear you down.

Yes the walking is very tough when it’s so hot! Be safe!

A very groovy and informative tour of another section of The Villages. I like the mock western look of the town. Tons of cars and golf cars everywhere but few people walking about, weird. Why is the movie theater closed down. Bad business or just remodeling? One would think that an air conditioned movie theater would be a big hit with old people, LOL! , On another note, do you know where the best town to live in, in The Villages for the most medical services?
@thealtemlife4 ай бұрын
Thank you! Yeah all the squares are super busy usually. I think the theater just is closed for good. Not sure why. As far as where to live, that would be a great question for the villages Facebook group. From what we know, a lot of the spots have hospitals, medical treatment, etc close by. I would say Spanish Springs or Brownwood are both solid choices!

What’s the age group hanging out in Brownwood? Lake Sumter?
@thealtemlife4 ай бұрын
Mostly 50+ but during the day, all ages and during events, all ages!

Brownwood paddock Square is nice but it doesn’t compare to Lake Sumter Landing, I get about 12,000+ steps a day I walk the boardwalk at Sumter, the best scenery to see while you walk the lake Palmer legend golf course and a real quaint little town
@thealtemlife8 ай бұрын
Love Lake Sumter! We would agree that it would be our favorite as well. That is great you get all those steps in!
