I have a theory that energy bending was once a bending manipulating the energy within themselves or within someone else. Energy bending became lost for it had turned into elemental bending. That’s why almost no avatar had done energy bending since Avatar Wan (I think) until Aang.

Now I know it is not proven (I am not sure if it has been proven wrong either) but through the use of air bending isn't possible to some extent for one to have the ability to Sound Bend? Also you forgot the water and earth bending sub skills of Plant/Vine and Sand Bending. It may not be a sub skill but you should've mentioned the notable ability to sense the chi paths in some using fire bending.

No,a random air nomad that can Airbend can’t bend water and earth. Every bending art has it’s on way of movement. Without using those movement’s an air nomad can’t do those elements. If they can push the element doesn’t mean they can bend it Like water is based off of Tai chi. A martial arts style in China and other places around the world. Without those Tai chi movements he or she technically can’t Waterbend Earth the element of substance means if you want to earth bend you have to stand your ground and stand completely still Water the element of change means if you want to water bend you have to except change. Water benders are capable of using enemies attacks on the enemy,because they have to flow with change Air is the element of freedom. You have to be free. Your mind and spirit have to wonder off. So that’s why you can’t technically water or earth bend if you don’t use those movements and if your not the avatar. I know I sound like uncle Iroh a little bit😅😅
