The Uzumaki and the Senju Clans are both cousins. Maybe distant, but they are related. Beyond that, Hashirama Senju’s wife was herself an Uzumaki. That technically makes Tsunade quarter Uzumaki, which is a fun fact for all of you. Her heritage with both clans explains why she has so much extra chakra to throw around. There is one thing mostly unexplained though. A particular Kekkei Genkai that Hashirama uses. Something only Hashirama uses. It has been displayed by Asura Otsutsuki, and was even utilized by Yamato and Danzo, but these among other only because they have Hashirama Senju’s cells, and the Zetsu as well, but that being said, they’re cultivated out of Hashirama’s cells and the Gedo Statue. This I find strange though. Besides Asura, Hashirama is the only natural user of Wood Release. Well… Moegi can utilize this style in Boruto… and how she can do it… why she can do it… and why It’s not a big freaking deal to the other characters is a total mystery. But as it stands, with the possible exception of Moegi, nobody outside of Hashirama and Asura can use it. But why? Not even any of the other Senju can use it. Not even Tsunade, and she is a direct descendant of Hashirama. So what is so special about this? Why can nobody, even within the Senju use it? Well, I have a particular theory. What if only Asura Reincarnations can naturally do it? After all, it’s only been naturally displayed by them. Perhaps only Asura reincarnates can utilize wood release. But if so… then… why couldn’t Naruto? That’s actually a unique question, and I’m a little confused about it because during the Boruto series, he possesses an arm completely fashioned out of Hashirama Senju’s cells. So he logically should be able to. So let’s stop for a moment and see what the world would be like if Naruto could use Wood Release.

@@Sg190th First, Mikoto was never shown actively attending the uchiha clan meetings, she was a Jōnin before becoming a mother, but she was seemingly retired from ninja activity at this point, and the civilian sector of the uchiha weren’t involved with the planning or potential execution of the coup, which is why it’s extra bad that Donzo ordered literally all Uchiha be killed; not just the military sector. 2nd it make have been an anime only moment; but Mikoto was friends with Kushina, and when Naruto was brought to the hospital, she made a request as Kushina friend to be allowed to adopt Naruto, but since he was the new 9 tails jinchuriki, and the elders suspected the Uchiha clan of being behind the 9 tails attack due to the sharingan in its eye, they didn’t trust her with him, so it was obviously better to give him no family at all.

Mikoto wanted to adopt Naruto, badly, when she asked Fugaku he said no, due to the elders thinking they caused the attack (but it was Obito) making them start a uprising that’s why Danzo ordered Itachi to kill them, Fugaku never said no, he just said they cant or it will look like they are trying to use the nine-tails.

I love the throwback to the Madara/Hashirama fight, but I definitely think Naruto would find a way to save Sasuke rather than kill. Remember this version of Naruto can simply use wood style to drain Sasuke of chakra to the point where he no longer can fight, and simply restrain him (and his eyes)

Wood style isn’t specifically for draining all chakra it’s known for technically surpassing and ig draining bijuu chakra because they are a mass of nature energy which is basically what trees absorb from the ground to grow in the Naruto universe

All of them are. As if the abilities are in response to some desire or need from their respective Uchiha. Sasuke was an avenger that wanted to destroy, so his mangekyo ability lets him create and use the amaterasu flames with an unrivaled dexterity. Obito wants to run away from his problems and create a fake world, so his Kamui lets him escape to his own pocket dimension. Similarly, Kakashi tends to ignore his problems and so he got the part of Kamui that lets him make other things disappear. Shisui was an optimistic and charismatic leader/protector endowed with the will of fire, and so of course his mangekyo ability has to be some twisted version of talk-no-jutsu. And of course, Itachi possesses the ultimate physical jutsu in the amaterasu and the ultimate genjutsu with the tsukuyomi, indicative of how his prodigiousness and mastery of the sharingan let him respond to any obstacle

Generally I disregard boruto as a whole because the show is a complete mess with sasuke always out of chalra after using two teleports and a chidori and with naruto only using taijustu and shadow clones now and refuses to use sage mode or literally any justu for that matter. It's just completely stupid how they gave hinata a plot whole with giving her hameras chakra which we saw amp her abilities to new heights, (such as making the twin lion first purple and her byagukan probably the strongest we've ever seen outside of kagyua) only for the show to never use the character

Technically, Naruto (and Sasuke too theoretically) can use not just Wood Release but every Kekkei Genkai and potentially Kekkei Tota. Naruto has a Hashirama Cell arm sure, but also has access to all 5 nature releases and Yin-Yang Release from his boon from the Sage of 6 Paths. It's already been shown in one of the data books that Moegi, someone with no relation to the Senju, can use Wood Release because she has access to Water, Earth and Yin-Yang Releases. We've also seen in Sasuke Retsudon that he can combine Wind and Water Releases (two nature releases that we've never seen him use before that moment) to make an Ice Release knife. We also already know that Naruto was granted access to Boil, Lava and Magnet Releases from the corresponding Bijuu during the war and would theoretically still have access to those Kekkei Genkai as well.

I always felt that he was SUPPOSE to eventually learn wood style, BUT due to having the nine tails sealed in him by Minato it broke the cycle in a sense since the biju & wood style dont mix. On top of that in hindsight you get the idea that since naruto doesnt have any elemental chakra release in part 1 you figure he was eventually gonna learn woodstyle but had it switched for the rasengan by Pervy Sage since he couldnt teach him woodstyle.

Wood Release does not give you automatic control of all trees. Yes, he would probably be able to tap into forests for scouting, but like with the Byakugan's long range vision Naruto would need to focus his attention in one area. A Mokuton user molds their chakra to manipulate existing treelife around them, but only if they actively focus on it. They can also pump chakra into said treelife to grow more wood. Finally, a wood release user can turn their own cells into wood.

I have no problem with this version's Land of Waves arc. Perhaps Haku would be too restrained to sacrifice himself, but ninjas are escape artists after all. The Forest of Death is too much though. Naruto is young and inexperienced with his ability. He probably only learned during the written test that he could tap into wooden objects to get sensations, so he wouldn't know outright what people were writing, but he could mimic a pen's exact movements, much like how Sasuke did with his Sharingan. In the forest of death, the team would either have him long range scouting for other teams or watch the immediate area. He would not be omniscient of the entire forest. Orochimaru will most likely already know about Naruto's abilities too (Kabuto did make intel cards of everyone). To this end he would travel as a snake all the time to fool Naruto's senses. Naruto would have an easier time dealing with Orochimaru, true, but the team would not be able to escape him. Orochimaru would also probably drain Naruto of a decent amount of blood because who wouldn't want those Hashirama 2.0 cells. Sasuke get branded, Naruto left for dead (but strong healing factor saves him), stuff happens as normal.

Bro, conditions in boruto would be different. Would Naruto receive a rinnegan? Sakura would probably hate him for killing Sasuke. Uhichia clan would be considered one of the most hated clan in the shinobi world. And probably this time Naruto would not lose kurama because he has full power of sage of 6 paths,chakra of all tailed beasts, and a rinnegan. Naruto would not even disappear as he would have these powers. He would learn to control kuruma late but there are many years for him before the start of these otsutsuki events.
