Danny Cavanagh: "‘Untouchable, Part 1’ was written when I lived in Norway. It's about letting go of love and moving on, even though you want to make final statement. It's a final statement of love, blessing somebody and about moving past that, but still stating how beautiful your feelings are. You can't hold on too much to somebody, you have to let them be who they are. If you really love somebody, you let them be themselves. That's the whole idea. You have to let go, if somebody is not going to feel what you want from them, you must let go. That's the story behind that one."

The first time I listened to this I was free camping with a couple of friends in a small beach in Fournous Ikaria in Greece. That summer I had broken up with my girlfriend after I don't know how many years. So I am lying on the beach, the sun had just set and we had just finished a bottle of strong tsipouro. One of my friends put this on a half dead cd player and it blew my mind. I sat there gazing at the stars and put the track on repeat till I fell asleep. Next morning I walked into town and got on the ship to go back home. The ex girlfriend turned into current wife and I couldn't be happier

My dog passed away exactly a year ago this past Friday. The lines: "I had to let you go To the setting sun I had to let you go And find a way back home" absolutely tore me up when I heard this song and I thought about her. I was sobbing like a baby. I had her since she was just a pup. Out of a litter of six other pups, she chose me and followed me all around my parents' farm the entire week I stayed with them. When my parents asked me if I wanted to take her, I didn't hesitate to bring her home with me. She was my hiking, walking, running friend and confidant. She helped me get through some very rough times and was always there to protect, love and comfort me and my kids. She didn't trust anyone else but me and my kids except for my girlfriend who eventually became my fiance and, now, my wife. Her loss left us all with a big, gaping hole in our home and hearts. Fortunately, she left behind a son of her own whom we still have and cherish. He's helped fill that void she left and continues to do so everyday. I'll never forget her. Thank you, Anathema, for this song. It's truly a blessing.

I didn’t cry the first time but I fell in love with it immediately, it blew me away. I kept listening to it and eventually it happened, I broke down and cried, so hard I thought it would never stop. I grew up with them in my hardest times and it is so good to see them discovering the beauty of love and life, dropping the suffering. It is magical for me - I stopped listening to them for a while, got interested in spirituality and then one day...I decided to check what's going on with Anathema. This is just one of those songs that when you start listening to it, you have to listen it all to the end. And every time after it, you feel grateful that you did. Truly a prog rock masterpiece.
