TheAnimatorVHS In the US, this use to air on The Disney Channel in the mid 80's. I always find it weird there's never been a DVD release of them at all.
@ThunderFist19787 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Sobieniak It also aired on Calliope on the USA Network and I think also on Pinwheel, which was Nickelodeon's first show.
@ChristopherSobieniak7 жыл бұрын
DJCandyManMike Yeah I forgot to mention Calliope. I don't remember in Pinwheel had this though.
@ThunderFist19787 жыл бұрын
+Christopher Sobieniak The Wikipedia article on Pinwheel lists Mr. Hiccup as being one of its features, but I don't remember seeing it on there either. I just figured it was probably correct since I noticed a lot of other cartoons were listed that I don't remember seeing as well.

He was drunk when he was a kid?
@АннаЛаврикова-р7ю3 жыл бұрын
I am sure he has some gastroenterological problems, from gastritis to stomach cancer. He is not drunk, he looks like a sobber. Well, from time to time, right before "hics" his face turns red or green. Honestly, for me he looks at those moments rather like he is going to burp or even vomit than to hiccup.

The cartoonist is Bruno Bozzetto, a very gifted artist. He made some brilliant films in the 70s and 80s.

Oh yes! Calliope on the USA Network introduced me to Mr. Hiccup, and I probably watched it on the Disney Channel, too.

+Tracy Martin To watch it in another language isn't as bad: 1: intro is always the same 2: there's less writing 3: they don't really "speak", language is just imitated 4: in the end he is always asked why he doesn't try to get rid of his problem

Constant, lifelong hiccups, dating back as far as prenatal gestation? Maybe Mr Hiccup should go see Mr Doctor...

Perhaps he needs an operation, it's some inborn anomaly. And as for prenatal hiccups, I read that from time to time (NOT constantly!) it is okay...

Can anyone remember the BBC children's show that this was shown on?
@waynemarshall2723 жыл бұрын
I think it was called TTV. This meant tea time television and it was shown around 1985/1986. I vaguely remember it having a talking cat and the quizzicals and answercals section. Of course the only memorable thing was Mr Hiccup.
