It's a not super uncommon trope it's a subsection of gender bender which is sometimes called gender swap/sex swap and in JP is called TSF. Ranma 1/2 with Ranma Saotome is probably the most famous anime with it as a main aspect of the show. Kampfer, I'm Gonna be the Twintail, and as far as h stuff goes ShindoL's TSF Monogatari all deal with it as well.

Joey take your time with these videos. I know we are living through some crazy times with this Covid-19 thing. It’s alright if you only have time to read an manga and not watch much anime. But other then that I’d still loved to hear some good anime and manga recommendations. As of right now I’m just finished two anime series on Netflix called b:the beginning and Sirius the jaeger and I love both of them. I’m now on to watching ajin:Demi-human and the only one manga I own is naruto manga 1-3 volumes all in one book and I still haven’t finished reading it . I’m just taking it slow and enjoying it. But I see why so many people love reading manga or love reading in general. It’s because it’s also helps us humans try to picture and figure out what is happening in the story as we are reading it . I finally got caught up on the light novels of Danmachi. For some reason, that story just really did it for me with the anime, so much so that I started buying the novels. And good thing too, because some of these seem to be getting expensive. Feels like reading fantasy smut sometimes, but hey, I like my light literature and now I've got all 15 volumes. Nice. Also got the first 7 volumes of Karakai Jouzu no Takagi-san (all the ones available in my country so far). For one because I really like the characters, but also because the cover art for every last one of them is so damn beautiful. My shelf is getting cramped, but that's to be expected. This channel really got me into reading the source material of the stuff I like.
