George, not only do I enjoy your videos, I also enjoy your verbiage describing the antiques and collectibles. Today was especially noteworthy, as I've not heard of the damaged inside of a bowl as being disturbed. I love it! And I love you George. You are so precious.

Stayed over in Spokane with a relative every single drive to school...and had a sad good experience there 2 years after my mom died at Sacred Heart, 8 years ago, as the life flight from here (and second one at the end) was last time I saw her 2 years later, the absolute best male nurse in ICU took me to her room and it was a perfect place to go to heaven from..wonderful city and dessert pine long needle Ponderosa trees. In all looking around I had the feeling of....this is the Pdx feel of 1986...so glad to have it validated...see the mourning image and see that I am not so far from so much from what my family calls the "stoof" stuff level. This was absolutely wonderful as they all are...thanks soooo much. We did wear the mocks...beaded or not..back then for inside shoes a lot didn't we...that is so fun..it is all just a both beautiful collecting and decorating thing...maybe if you were lucky enough to get an old table or hutch your grandparents had,,,or 20's glass pin and needed or wanted and still use it.....we kind of fall in a category all our own here...just another great great one...hoping to plan a loop there for your show and all pdx..next year. So glad to have more explore in me...and a goal for this time...this year wow..snow again...we just keep getting it but it pits off the lawn...take care. PS..I stayed at Quality in for Very Good price...not the old Holiday Inn city one mom and I stayed in when looking at schools but still great to see huge 20's brass chandeliers in there and just have safe clean sleeps. PSS Always more..Spokane has Lilac Days and wonderful ones like NW and I have a different Salsbury Lilac teacup shape with them and the one to left of Easter egg looks just like it but different shape...I love this minutiae.

My mom was born in Spokane & her family has a homestead there (a huge old farmhouse). I remember going to the World's Fair there in 1974 (I was 10 years old) & staying at the farmhouse. Such fond memories. I remember I broke a jam jar in a store (that I wasn't supposed to be touching in the first place). My mom had to pay for it & it was like $50, which was a lot back then. She always had it in her kitchen as a reminder, LOL. Anyway, it's nice to see parts of Spokane again, thank you! Safe travels! xo

My great grandfather was mayor of Spokane back in the early 1900s, I've never stopped to sightsee there,so this was a special video for me! The town caught fire and mostly burned down and the family moved shortly after, but not before he met my great grandmother whose family owned a very swanky hotel that catered to the Klondike gold rush crowd. A few family heirlooms have been preserved that were commissioned for the hotel by the Lefevre family, which was the family of my great grandmother.

Where is the third area? I used to think South Monroe but I thought that was mostly gone? Thank you so much for your help btw! I would love to know what that building was, it looks like a 1930s grocery store
@crittergirl36472 жыл бұрын
@@TheAntiqueNomad I was thinking Monroe, but haven’t been through there in quite a while. There are a few places farther in the Valley, two which are quite large. Not right by each other, though.

New Zealand here .Love your channel. It is so full of interesting information and amazing antiques. I find the trends and pricing most informative as it gives me an indication of what may be the upcoming trends of collecting in New Zealand. Just an aside , "the van is stuffed" means that it is past being repaired in New Zealand.

Frame 15:39 The Indian drummer in the middle. My Dad got one of those for me when I was a toddler. I thought it neat Until it started flicking its tongue in & out. Then it let out & awful noise that scared the pee-waddling out me & I ran off screaming. ( so I'm told )
@twistoffate47912 жыл бұрын
I love that kitty cat you petted. I love animals so much it's tough to quit petting them & walk away. I have an Abingdon vase, which was my dad's mother's. The white gown that you thought might be someone's wedding dress was probably just an evening gown (or formal) a lady wore to an important event.

Hey George - sorry we missed you last night. Hope you were doing something fun. Loved the video. It was great to see the wedding collectables. I have a client who collects wedding cake toppers. I found one in a pick at a haunted hoarder house but somehow left it behind! Could have kicked myself because stuff was so cheap there. I have been looking for one ever since! I have never even seen one in a shop. BTW did you get my letter and pics?

Good evening, George! I spotted a pond boat next to the green round/ball radio. Those are something I really like. That one would've probably come home with me, too. There looked like a set of Nippon open salts in the case with the Murano piece. Those caught my attention. I liked the pair of wicker chairs in the garden area. I have one of the "Wizard of Oz" books...somewhere. Caught a glimpse of a model of a cruise liner. I've been wanting a model of the QE2 and one of the original Carnival "Mardi Gras". There was a black cat on the shelf with the Belleek pieces that really did catch my eye. Great items in those shops! Thanks for the take-along!!!
@TheAntiqueNomad2 жыл бұрын
Good evening! I do love pond boats, I had an official one as a child but i enjoyed the ones I made more. Wonder where they all went? The wicker chairs are one of the styles I like best, I also appreciate the flat and squarish variety. I have not been in view of a good ocean liner model in awhile, I see a lot of rigged sailers but not so many of the others! I'm glad you had fun with this one
