It's a form of psychological projection whereby you show outward hostility towards something or someone with which you secretly identify. e.g. The stereotypical conservative, super-religious, homophobe who's turns out to be gay. Often, the most vocal critic is just as or more guilty than the person s/he is criticizing. tldr; Draco totally had a thing for Hermione. lol.
