I noticed that too Earl, and, I'm certain had Slim have politely said, just give me a moment pls Willie, as 1 of my strings broke during my last song mate, old Willie d v just equally politely have just spoken too the Audience in the couple of short couple of minutes it'd have taken to replace his broken string! AND, equally If it was vice versa, Slim d have just said something like, ' Willie will only be a moment🙂He just seen be had a broken guitar string, so he won't be long! If you good ppl know what I mean? And, I'd say they'd both have spare new strings at the ready, as they were both sooooo very experienced and, seeing they'd racked up well over 100yrs on the stage or more, Slim d v definitely had a spare guitar just off stage, and so d Willie have done!! AND or, they'd have an assistant for example Slim d have had Joy fit a new string just behind the stage and fitted another 1 in less than a minute, as would Willie have had too!! Because when uve been around as long as those 2, ude 100pc allow for unforeseen things like that to happen!!🙂I'd like to have been as certain of winning the lotto folks!! AND, I operated combine harvestors or headers for many years, and 1 yr I operated 1 for a lovely old man from Kansas🙂The night we finished the harvest, I was just about to ask him..Do U mind if I put Slim on the cassette player Clint? But! Before I could ask him, he said...'PUT SOME OF THAT AUSSIE SLIM ON THE CASSETE PLS PETE!!🙂AND, He told me Slim was very big in the USA, even before he moved to Australia in 1970!! I said...' I didn't know that Clint!!' He said OHHH hell yeah Pete!! AND He'd be a great deal bigger if he didn't refuse to sing with an American Accent or, sing American songs Pete!! ANNND!! I KNEW and still know Johnny cash!!😯and, he's been trying to get or Persuade Slim to go over and sing in the USA for yrs!! AND THEN showed me a photo of himself and Cash at his home in Kansas taken in 1968!! Because Johnnys car broke down in front of Clints main front farm gate that yr!! It was only the Alternator, but, Clint just happened to have had a brand new Alternator in his Garage! Which was sent to him by mistake 2 days before!! So, Clint fitted the Alternator and they had a few drinks together!! AND, Clint refused to let Johnny pay him for it and his x, it was Dusk, so Clint asked Johnny and June to stay the night which they did!! FF and after they left next morning, Clint found 5 $100 notes or bills in the Ashtray of his pick up truck!! Wrapped in a note that read, 'THANK U AND URE LOVELY FAMILY SO VERY MUCH CLINT!! AND! PLEASEEE DON'T OFFER IT BACK!! I don't need money, so, pls have a few drinks on me and I'll send u a few tickets to my next few shows!! And he did too, I just thought I'd tell u about that is All folks !!

Poor old Willie, did an interview in the USA somewhere folks, and admitted he's not only a Democrat!! But, that he always has been! I don't know much about the USA politics and I really don't care less about it either!! But!! The Democrats r very much like the old style Labor politicians in Australia, or, the way the Labor Party of old, in Australia DID USED TO BE LIKE!! Those older generations of the Australian labor Party REALLY WERE FOR!! AND DID CARE ABOUT THE REAL OLD GENUINE AUSSIE BATTLERS SLIM SPENT HIS ENTIRE LIFE SINGING ABOUT!! In my humble opinion obviously folks!! For example, I think it was Mike Willesies' Uncle, who started out in life flat broke!! He was a Labor Senator from W.A, But!! He owned well over 100 pubs in Australia at the x of his passing!! AND he Donated half of his pubs to charities in his will!! AND, left the rest to his family, he ALWAYS paid his pub workers well above award wages!! AND a friend of my grear Uncle, who worked for him, said Every one who ever worked for him, used to get a 500 quid Xmas bonus every single year!! Including in the great depression yrs!! He never owed a soul any money in his life, and, he quite simply made his money for 2 main reasons!! He was quite obviously a more than brilliant businessman!! AND just never stopped working his guts out!! But, he reminds me of old Willie!! I couldn't care less if he's a dope smoker or not!! Because he's more than earned his money and has been writhing THEE best C N W music in the USA and ww for 8 DECADES now!! AND HE STARTED in life with absolutely nothing!! In the interview when asked what he thought of Trump!!??? He said he'd rather not get involved in talking about American politics ESPECIALLY TRUMP!! He said Donald always DID pay me whenever I sang at 1 of his venues!! AND( ironically...IFFF TRUMP D NOT HAVE PAID HIM!!??? RED NECKS FROM THE BUSH IN THE USA D KILL TRUMP!!) Because he's known for not paying his bills!! AND STILL OWES A fortune to different Council districts in the USA (whenever he held a red necks rally in their towns!!) Pls feel free to look into that by all means folks!! Anyway, Willie said both sides of Politics in the USA have been wanting me to join them for the last 65 or more years!! But!! He declined and said. I'm sure I can put views across farrr more in my songs!!....and he reminds me of Slim Dusty!! Because he painted a picture about everything he EVER sang about!! Personally, I'd have much preferred his bush ballads!! As they're the very songs that made him a household name!! I don't personally like his truck songs much!! AND NOT!! that they're not great songs!! I'd just much prefer to listen too his old bush ballad songs!! Same as Willie!! Because he literally takes u to wherever he's singing about and, paints a picture of it all!!
