Everything usually goes to crap at some point working for the same company for a long time. Relationships just sour with people and employers usually over time. If they didn't then people would stay with the same company forever...doesn't matter if its in Corporate America or wrestling. Sometimes you need to jump ship to make more money and get better opportunities. And sometimes its not something you necessarily wanted to do but had to do or were forced into making that decision. Unfortunately sometimes loyalty doesn't pay with employers and you end up getting taken for granted.
@Uncultured_Barbarian4652 жыл бұрын
I worked in Corporate America for one of the largest companies in the world for over 20 years. They broke me, and if they hadn't, I'd have worked with them until I got to retirement age. The benefits were good, until it wasn't enough of a reason to stay.

Even though I'm glad things worked out financially for Arn, Tully, and their families with the WWF, it had to have been a massive blow to NWA/WCW with them leaving. I remember Bobby "The Brain" Heenan becoming their manager and the team was named, "The Brain Busters." They were a great heel tag team and even won the tag team championship at one point. If you look back on KZbin videos of NWA/WCW wresting from the early and mid 1980s, the Four Horsemen was the group keeping that wrestling program afloat. Eventually, all of the Four Horsemen would soon leave for the WWF (Anderson, Blanchard, Wyndham, Luger, and Flair). NWA/WCW just didn't feel the same afterwards.

@@MrSmitty1074 Big time Steve. I know Dusty Rhodes is universally loved, but to me he is the most overrated booker in the history of pro wrestling. Not saying he's terrible, but just ridiculously overrated. He went to the same wells over and over and kept the top in stone way too long. Lost a lot of talent over the years because of it. He also held grudges and used his position to take vengeance. In the end, he destroyed JCP with wild spending due to his ego. He and McMahon ended pro wrestling as I loved it.

@lakebay9722 жыл бұрын
I never understood either; yet, Tully & Arn became Tag Team Championship around that time. Plus, I was at a house show in Amarillo, where Tully & Arn went against the Bushwhackers. I was in the aisle toward the front as I went to slap hands with The Bushwhackers as they walked down toward the ring. Thinking I'd miss my moment, I hurried up there with a package of M&Ms in my hand (I had several left), stuck my hand out and lo and behold, Butch swiped it from my hand, placed the package in his mouth; and once he got in the ring, he spit it in Arn's face, then all hell broke loose as the match began. It was a non-title match; yet The Bushwhackers ended up winning. I guess they were going for the "send them home happy" angle. I was so wishing Tully & Arn had won the match. Nonetheless, as Butch heads back down the aisle, he had M&M gunk on his beard and was laughing at me. Good times!
