Many people forget Jin’s fighting style from Tekken 4 and onwards is Kyokushin Karate. Even his motion capture guy is a black belt in Kyokushin Karate. Plus as a practitioner myself, I can identify very easily the techniques Jin uses.

@@nst7282 I know that's the rumor however I call b.s. on that considering that Tekken 7 has a full length interactive story mode, akuma and geese Howard, dude from the walking dead and notics plus the addition of slow mo mechanics. All of that took alot of money which could of went to adding rivals in the arcade mode and different winning and losing animations for all characters.

I loved playing as Hwoarang as a kid, but looking back at this game's story made me realize just how much of a child he is. He has no regard for anything going on around him other than his incessant need to prove he's better than Jin and it ALWAYS backfires.

They should just feud with different opponents, Hwoarang could've just fought Steve Fox as a rival... Taekwondo vs Boxing, perfect feud they even show cased their fight in the T5 opening intro.

doesn't always backfire, in the actual story he tied with jin in 3, beat jin in 5, lost to devil jin straight after and has been aware of Jins mishima zaibatsu bullshit since once jin took over now he's taking grenades for him, i say its character development

@@poohhardy11 It's not really a rivalry when he only tied once with Jin, while losing about all the time aka 2-1 to Jin _(in his ending not Jins, technically Jins rival only true rivals is Kazuya & Heihachi)_ and that makes it in canon in Jins favor by far. Also a true rival is supposed to *_rival_* his or hers opponent as well, not just match someone to time to time. No one calls Piccolo Goku's rival anymore unless you've been watching Dragonball sense the 90:es , Vegeta is his true rival for obvious reasons his not exactly at his league due to a small gap _(aka simply having one extra transformation in store, when the plot demands it)_ and Hwoarang literally doesn't even follow any of the steps of a rival. Jin beat True Ogre, Kazuya, Jinpachi and Azazel at his base form. Not even needing the Devil gene, with Devil Jin you could argue that his the strongest canon Tekken character -unless you count in Gouki- . Hwoarang struggled against Steve Fox fam, you can argue Steve Fox is closer to the Mishimas family but that title goes to Prime Paul Phoenix or even Lars Alexanderson. Hwoarang has no accomplishments rather than just fighting Jin ones, Jin has far more feats if we go with Tekken force as well. Dude no disrespect towards Hwoarang but the only development Hwoarang has gotten through the years in his weird obsessive career is either being Jins or Baeks punching bag or you could call it one sided sparring. Kazuya is the only rival Jin has in Tekken, Hwoarang and Miguel are just side characters doesn't really fight a serious Jin. If they feuded with Kazuya, they did be dead for a long time ago... Theirs a reason why Harada hasn't let Eddy get his revenge yet on the Mishimas, Jin is far more merciful then his 2 crazy elders. Eddy is better of as a joke character, otherwise he will be killed of just like the original King and Armor King. Mishimas are proven to be more cold blooded then Ogre and Marduk after all.

@@WWEKellyKelly cuurently jin was put in a position where a street rivalry wasn't going to happen what with the whole war he started. drawing with jin, then beating base only to lose in devil mode puts them at a 2-2 score.(they might have fought in T4 since it's reffered to in jins rival cutscene in 5 but it was another draw) its a given that characters don't have to be mishimas to be high tier, alisa, nina and lars are up there as well (and bryan/feng despite them not fighting the mishimas at all) without a doubt Lars is at the top beating jin twice in 6 (not including devil jin which isn't really canon passed 5) Hwoarang is currently stuck rivaling devil jin now and vice versa in tekken 7 so hes still holding the rival role down. (fun fact, Tekken 7 states that it's only been a couple months since the events of tekken 4 so hwoarang's fights are still recent canonically) Paul's only big feat was beating base ogre, who...through scaling, could lose to anyone around paul or jins level anyway (hwoarang, law, kaz, lars, heihachi, etc)
