He was obsessed with the minutiae of life. I bought & loved his book 'The Philosophy of Andy Warhol: From A to B and Back Again". I just noticed it has a glowing review from Truman Capote, another of my favourites. I particularly remember that Warhol describes a telephone conversation with someone who explained how they tackled certain household chores. Strangely fascinating. I believe he had a genuine interest in people. His art reflects that.

I really admire the matter-of-fact way you talk about his drug use. "He did some drugs sometimes and that's just the way it was." Not that he was using illegal drugs or anything, since it was a "diet pill" at the time, but still, demonizing drug use is bad, even when the drugs are bad too. Not all drugs are bad though.

The weird jittery lines he made using that technique you showed with the ink pen reminds me of the style of animation in the Cartoon Network show Ed, Edd, and Eddy. I was always intrigued by that style especially since the lines would jitter and change thickness in every frame of the animation. Wonder if they were inspired by him or used some similar technique.

Yeah, but our culture has changed a lot. People nowadays tend to be more interested in home-cooked (or at the very least restaurant-cooked) food, and even our packaged foods tend to have more complex flavors. The bland packaged foods that were popular in the mid century are genuinely weird to a lot of people now.
