Hi Harry! I love your channel, found you through Lindsay's (thefrugalcrafter) praise of your reviews, which are fantastic! Looking forward to seeing your garden studio! Congrats on that. In this review the best part was your invention of the comparative hardness scale. Please, please, please put all the pencils on this comparative scale for those of us with arthritic or impaired hands! Love you!

I’m excited FOR you!! How neat to have a studio in your garden. Enjoy it!! Thank you for taking the time to do this review as well. I’ve got the Marco pastels, which have tided me over…but I’ve been wanting the Holbein set so very much. ((Luckily I’ve kept my wits about me…as that wouldn’t be a very wise purchase for me to make. 😁)) Anyhow, cheers to you! Thanks for all you so generously do for all of us subscribers.

I love my pastelowe, I got mine straight from Poland with under a gbp postage and they cost me just under £12... I just numbered mine 1-50 as they came then put them in a pencil case in my own order. Great review as always. Congrats on your own space 😁

Hi! I received the full set of Holbeins for Christmas and they came with an officially stamped letter that says they have been ASTM tested. Hopefully that will ease everyone’s doubts. Thank you for the review!💚

Thanks for the review! I bought these last year and then I ended up buying the Brutfuner Macaroons which appear to be a closer dupe perhaps. Perhaps you can dp a review on those? They seem more pigmented door a similar price to the pastelowes. Plus they have numbers that much up to the Holbein's

Congratulations on the new studio. Was very interested in your chart on hardness. Wow Derwent artist set was thinking of getting a few but I know now that my hand would never be able to use these so thank you for this information. Have a lovely week.

How do they compare to castle art pastel tint ? I just got the castle art and honestly I’m so spoiled by Prismacolor I felt they could be softer . Thank you for you hard work! Love the channel . Can’t wait to see you art studio

I love the Pastlelowe pencils. But with all the pastel sets, I am still wanting lighter pastels. I really like the few pencils out there that are barely there colors. Maybe one day it will be the next new thing. 50pc set of barely there colors. Fingers crossed. And I agree, they need a number.
@wanderingstar56732 жыл бұрын
I use stickers that I purchase on Amazon to number all of my pencil sets consecutively starting with one. Many sets are numbered erratically. I like mine in color order that corresponds to the color wheel. Makes them easy to read and keep in order. One could do this with this set. Immediately number this set so they don’t get out of order then use the corresponding number on your swatch sheet. Hope this helps.

Hi! 👋 Just atm, I'm actually currently on a hunt for Neon pencils and trying to find any that don't have that horrible/uneven/waxy lay down that the majority of Neon pencils have. But!☝️I just noticed when I looked at your colour chart, one green in particular looked VERY Neon, so I'm considering getting these pencils just for that one very neonish looking Green. Have you come across any pencils that are Neon that have a good lay down? Also, would you consider doing an investigation for the Neon sets that are currently out there to try to find the best Neon pencils out there? The reason I'm asking you is because I know what sort of... rigorous tests that you run on every set of pencils that you review, so I put a lot of stock in your reviews and feel a lot more reassured to take a chance and buy a set of pencils that I'm unfamiliar with if you've done a review of them 👍

As an artist who also wears makeup, I'm like "...if Prismacolor can make a colored pencil that's lightfast for a hundred years for 1.50 a pencil open stock and crayola can make a crayon you can eat without getting poisoned for even less, why is my eyeliner pencil 20 bucks"
@knp013 ай бұрын
You won't find anything like colour names in any product by Astra, becuase they do only kindergarten/early school type of supplies. The cheapest it can be, while being good enough. To print anything else but the set name, would require extra work and extra stamps, at least 50 in this case. By having only one type of info also speeds up production, because you don't have to do the stop to sort the colors. I have no idea, why Astra's products got to be the hot stuff on YT, but here in Poland, nobody pretends these are good for actual art. The set you have costs literally 12 USD taxed here. Why is anybody expect anything else but a absolute basics.
@TheArtGearGuide3 ай бұрын
I don’t think anybody expects awesome things from a set such as this especially given the price and the only reason a set such as this was reviewed in the first place, was to try and source a pastel set of colored pencils similar to the third layer of Holbein Colored Pencils.
