Eye opener for me. Been doing graff since 16 years approx. I always loved wildstyle, so that's what I learned. Skipped all the basics, which I'm paying for now. Just never could figure out how to make it flow properly. I never really thought about applying and thinking about visual cues and composition in this way for graff. I think we can agree on that it is heavily used on for instance landscape paintings since hundreds of years. Strange that I never came to think about it before. Thank you. /@down_bsc

Although this stuff isn't new to me (not that I'm a great artist or anything) I always like watching stuff like this because every single artist explains these fundamental concepts differently, in my experience. For example, I knew "Line Similarity and Uniformity" but under a totally different name. And momentum, although I get that explanation is about the last way I would have thought to explain it. That way overcomplicated the subject in my mind. I think that it's important to not underestimate the significance that getting different perspectives and different explanations, on the same fundamentals, can have on your overall knowledge. Learning the same thing from a different perspective is still a great way to increase your knowledge on a subject.

First, let me say, there isn't any need to like your own comments. I can see the live views on the video to see people aren't watching this particular video enough for someone else to have liked your comment. Second, I'm super confused by you man. I thought we were cool, I always liked you in the community but I feel like out of no where you didnt like me or had issues with me. Come to find you leaving rude comments in the past that caught me off guard since you were in my DMs on insta looking for advice and info when you were newer and didn't know much about graffiti and also since you had always been chill before. Also, come to find you sneak dissing me in your videos. I guess I ld just like to know what I did if anything to upset you because legit iv always thought we were cool and I wouldn't mind patching up a friendship, I always rather make a friend. If you dont like me then fine, that's cool too but at least be straightforward about it ya know rather than beating around the bush.

Hey, your Videos are awesome!! the only thing that stands in the way of the implementation is the fact that I come from Germany. and my English is not the best, so I don't really understand individual things in the video even after watching it 5 times. But there is no comparable German-speaking painter / youtuber who explains everything down to the last detail like you. and you won't find anything on the internet either. I was really looking foward to this. :-) The last part when you talk about the transition of the line flow in a Saber piece is a bit puzzling. Are you saying that in order to change the line flow you need to repeat at least once the angle of the line? To make two horizontal ones, two at angle, to get graduately to vertical??
@Theartistblock6 жыл бұрын
Thats simply one way, yes for sure. You could also (for example) have a horizontal line , then draw another line uniform or similar to it near by then have that line swoop up or down to become vertical. This would be like the saber part of the video except we are only using the yellow circled line and the dark orange and nothing else. This is more direct and only uses two lines. Understand however you dont have to transition flow at all if your piece overall has enough flow. You dont even need that much flow either, look at straight letters for example, they dont too much worry about transitioning flow because they have more than enough flow to not need transition. Transitioning flow is a great way to enhance flow or get more flow when you dont have enough but its not a must.

Hey man, love all your videos. But can I use this for handstyles?
@Theartistblock4 жыл бұрын
Yup you sure can. This is a fundamental so it applies to all graffiti granted different forms of graffiti arent going to use it the same. Like line uniformity and similarity constantly. Momentum flow is used too but because you can't really go positioning the letters all crazy like in pieces so instead momentum flow is carried through from one line to the next. Cursive is a great example of this. One liner handstyles come from cursive and many of those lessons from cursive apply to one liners and both are dependent on momentum flow
