I learned of neurographics this week. I have an researched it. It was invented by a Russian psychiatrist in 2014-15. He believes when you round off the sharp edges, I call it drawing smiles, at the intersections that it causes neurons to fire. It activates the brain to just like learning. It is being used to heal trauma. I'm all about healing and this fascinates me.

I had my high school students doing it and you wouldn't believe the trauma it caused. whew! you'd have thought the less confident students were gonna die. So hard to overcome a lack of confidence!

It’s therapeutic neuron repair, creating new synapses and repairing neuron breaks for people who have stress, PTSD, Dementia, healing yourself with intent before you start. Your subconscious automatically goes to a repair site. It’s Science and Art. Good luck.

I really enjoyed how free you were. Great video. The founder of this art is Pavel Piskarev. He is from Russia and shared it in 2014. He explains it and it's very interesting. I just discovered it myself and find it very relaxing. Keep the videos coming .

I really enjoyed your video, I have only recently found neurographic art. I am a senior and have battled depression and mourning the loss of my son. Art is so therapeutic for me, I can turn off everything in my mind and connect with my inner child. I use watercolors and colored pencils. Thank you for sharing your work 💜

Thanks for telling me. It's so encouraging to hear how my videos were helpful. Depression is no joke. When it hits, it paralyzes every part of me. Sorry to hear you lost your son. A parent should never have to go through that. I find that no matter what I am going through THE SON never lets me down. He pulls me out of the pit of despair and sets my feet on solid ground.

Very nice. I almost swallowed my tongue when you put the blk ink over the orbs! But then the risk paid off. Maybe I should have said , the confidence paid off. Beautiful

You should start at one side of the paper and draw lines going to the other side of the page have to go one edge to the other. You can make them do what ever put some loops don’t, then round where they meet. You think about something you have on your mind keep the process going and it helps you solve the problem.Something like that. It’s a ton of fun no matter how you do it. The circles get put in after your rounding is done. I think at least two

Following up - I tried this with my 7th -12th grade Art students and not only did they LOVE it, but almost all were also very successful!! I had them just create their own loose circles and found the most successful coloring was from the watercolor pencils in which students were able to blend colors with a damp brush where they felt the need. If a student took the work to heart, they were absolutely beautiful abstract works of art!! I will definitely do this again!

Thank you for a fantastic video. Fabulous abstract design. I believe you can use the neuro concept just to produce beautiful 🎨 artwork without focusing on a problem. I love vivid colours in abstraction 🤗🌈

I depends if you're doing this for a therapy vs an art project. As a therapy there are rules, first a trained therapist should guide you, then you start out with shaky lines across the entire page but without planning, circles are added free hand, you let your subconscious control your movements as you think about a problem you are having or have had in the past, the rest works on healing yourself, how, I dont know, Im not a therapist. Using this purely as an art form, you can do what you want. I've seen beautiful patterns to complex portraits done with the neurographic lines. Tangled lightening shaped lines forming planets and stars and the popular spreading shape of the tree of life.

One of the rules is to start the line in one side and end in the other side. But I loved this project so much that I'm going to do something similar. Thanks for sharing with us.

Some nice techniques here with the pearlescent shades. Thanks for the tips. Did you end up doing a remake that’s quicker and no talking? I don’t see the link you spoke about. No offense, but I nearly always mute talking videos and play at double-speed. I did undo the speed and volume when you added the highlights & lowlights. I really like and appreciate those ideas. 👍
@theartproject2 жыл бұрын
I don't think I got to the remake. sorry about that. I usually speed videos I watch on youtube up also. no offense taken. I like videos that talk like peter draws, but I am not particularly fond of my own talking style. However if an explanation is needed it is there, and if an explanation is not needed then the mute button s a handy invention.
