Even though I didn't get to watch this live, I did watch it later from start to finish. I was with you and feel that I can do it all the way to the bottom of your canvas...I was amazed to see how you brought it all together! You covered every little detail from perspective to darks and lights and how the the lights are reflecting from the sun and how you added some darks to make the lights stand out more! I feel like there were a million little things I learned from just watching and want to thank you! My last day with Ginger is over this month, I have been with her going on 4 years, and it is time for me to go 100% with you now!

I love your paintings. You are an incredible artist and a beautiful person John is so helpful and also a really nice guy . Again I just love your art and I do try very hard to paint. I haven't been able to paint for 7 months because unfortunately my home was destroyed by hurricane Ian and I have been living in a trailer in my driveway. We are just about to move back in after rebuilding my home . God bless and I hope I will be painting again soon . Emma from Florida.

Dear Emma, Your words have warmed my heart immensely. Thank you so much for your kind compliments and the shared appreciation for art - it truly means the world to me. I'm genuinely sorry to hear about the hardships you've been through. The devastation of Hurricane Ian has affected many lives, and it's heartbreaking to hear that it touched you so personally. Despite these difficult circumstances, it's truly inspiring to see the strength and resilience in your words. John and I are here for you, and we are so glad to hear you are about to move back into your rebuilt home. That's a significant step forward, and I hope it brings a renewed sense of comfort and stability for you. As you navigate this new chapter, I hope you find the opportunity to reconnect with your love for painting. Art has an incredible way of healing, providing solace, and allowing us to express our emotions in unique ways. I believe your experiences will bring a new depth to your artistry, and I eagerly look forward to seeing your creations once you're ready to pick up the brush again. Remember, it's okay to take your time. There's no rush in healing and resuming hobbies. Art will always be there for you when you're ready, as a patient and understanding friend. God bless you, Emma. Stay strong, keep faith, and here's to hoping for brighter, more colorful days ahead for you.

OMgoodness! I love love your hair color in this video! I’m a retired hair designer and color specialist and makeup artist. You look sooo much younger and sooo beautiful! All of the fun colors can be artsy cool BUT you are GORGEOUS NOW! Love it! Love it! Love it! And enjoyed the paint mixing education video! I’ve been an artist my entire life, using color wheels for painting, cosmetics and hair dye corrective coloring and specialist. Please inform crafters that liquid acrylic craft paint doesn’t fall suit with the normal color wheel and mixing techniques because the pigments are normally synthetic and the molecular makeup is not going to work by the same color names in Golden’s rich pigmented paints, nor are liquid craft paints even comparable to Golden’s fluid paints.

WOW thank you for your kind words. That was a real lift to my spirits as a first morning comment !! WOW. Deco did make a line of paint that does have a student grade of traditional pigments so the color mix-ability is not so off. Yes some craft are all over the place and I will make a video in future to help people navigate the issues

I love how easy it is to follow every step with you and the fact that you and Jon are so laid back and relatable lol! I moved to your neck of the woods almost 2 yrs ago to take care of my mom after my dad passed away. i had only been to Texas like twice before (that was to visit my parents, they hadn't lived in Texas long either) so other then my mom i knew zero people here. its a bit of a challenge to just up and leave an entire life, anyway i came across one of your videos and to make an already long story short, you kinda became my first friend here and you didn't even know it! as crazy at it sounds you guys have help me through a lot the last 2 years and i just wanted to let you know and say thankyou. i think my skills have really grown lol. i just gotta figure out how to share so i can show what you've taught me.

I'm thrilled to know that our videos have been a source of comfort and companionship for you. Jon and I We genuinely care about each one of you, and your story reaffirms why we do what we do. Your growth in painting skills is something to celebrate, and I would absolutely love to see your work! lol I was so confused for a moment because the burnt sienna looks like yellow ochre in this video lol but it looks more like burnt sienna on application though so that’s how I knew it’s just the cameras! And I feel so excited I’m starting to learn my colors enough that I’m like hey that looks like yellow hansa light lol! It’s exciting for me honestly! Colors have new meaning and divine placement and inspiration than ever before!
