I have thought about quitting painting because I just was not successful with anything I had been doing lately. I watch you always and loved this so much I just had to try it. So glad I did. Now I believe I can and going to do be!ieve face next. Thank you again. will post on the big art quest the site tomorrow.

This is gorgeous. It reminds me of The Lupus Foundation icon. The color purple, and the butterfly are icons for Lupus, as Lupus patients have a butterfly shaped rash (usually invisible to naked eye) that goes around the eyes like a mask. Purple is the Ribbon color for Lupus. I'm painting this for my daughter Cauren, who has a fairly active case of Systemic Lupus. She will LOVE IT. I may see if I can post it on the Foundation's website, for I know that community will love this. You are a bright shining light in my life. Love you and John infinitely... Erin/Wishes

I just did this as a 18th birthday gift for my niece. I’d like for you to see it but don’t know how/where to do that. This is my first attempt, I drew it out myself w colored pencil and I followed you pretty meticulously and even “rewound” several times!

Y'all y'all y'all! I wish I had been with you for the Live. I have sooo many comments, so little space. I so enjoyed you both today. #1 Your feather didn't bother me at all. #2 I just visited SD Wild Animal Park's Butterfly jungle and have been working out my butterflies in paint, but this is a genius butterfly design 🦋 #3 My sister and I always say"Everything is a Song" #4 Thank you for sharing your skills and your joy with the world. You two are so adorable! You remind me so much of Janis Joplin....also from Texas....Port Arthur...she always said "right?" and was a totally free spirit... By the way, I taught writing at Cypress/Fairbanks for several years so I hear your spirit shine in your lessons....omg....this eye reminds me that learning is a journey....and I have joined your team. Love Bowie!!!

Pleeeeeeeze, don't forget about Bowie. A great humanitarian, and an artist (mostly Acrylics). Bowie ran a website for years, designed to create a safe space for artists to share their work, & ask for suggestions/ feedback if they wished. Very similiar vibe to the Sherpa Community. David actively participated & reached out in a most personal way. Many people have no idea of his true character...they loved or hated his music, and remember his stage antics. He brought the LGBT community into the mainstream and opened up doors for them in society, although he was just a straight, single father (son Duncan Jones is an artist and works in video gaming biz) Few knew what an incredibly loving, humble, supportive, & generous person he was. A Mime and Broadway actor, makeup artist who designed his own costumes, he was recognized/honored for his influence on NY fashion trends. His mission was to support artists from all disciplines in their success and donated his time and music to struggling new musicians. He was a bright shining lovely soul, would have LOVED you.

The music industry has lost some truly talented, sweet spirits. David was definitely one of them. Invaluable, sensitive, no frills. I feel so sorry for his widow, Iman and his two children. .. and yes the Duke would have LOVED Cinammon.

Christina, I adore you for taking the time to comment on my Bowie post. I am a follower of Iman's facebook page. She is such an incredible human and inspires me to no end. I feel sorry for his family as well. Bowieweb and Iman have influenced my life tremendously. I'm not one to idealize entertainers and have never before been influenced this strongly by a personality with whom I have no personal relationship. Nor have I ever grieved so deeply and honestly for someone i never met. Love knows no bounds. Kinda how I feel about Cinnamon and John. Thank you so much, again, for your comment.Erin Caughron

A joke....maybe I already heard this and it was sitting in my subconscious filing cabinet. If you are standing watching a few artists paint, not seeing the painting, how would you know which one is professional and which one is still learning?

Good answer! Close but no cigar! The professional is breezing along dancing while she lets her brush glide on the canvas. The newbie is sitting like a board, squint eyed and holding their breath with each brush stroke at the canvas with 5 brushes in her left hand, 1 brush that she is painting with..very slowly..and a few brushes in the side soaking in a little water trough. Memememe!

There are two short tutorials to prepare you for this... both on how to sketch an eye in pencil, which really helps your ability to then paint the eye. But you don't even need to do those if you don't wish. You can get the traceable on THEARTSHERPA.COM, download and print it... then cover the backside of image in chalk, lay this on your canvas and trace over the image... transferring it to your canvas in chalk! Start wherever you want. If this inspires you, DO IT!! Love to you Traci. Erin (aka Wishes)

spritz your canvas with water before you start, make sure to keep the paints moist on your palette, use a damp brush, and then you can also use golden acrylic glazing gloss or an extender to help increase blending time. 💕💕

Cara maestra posso chiederle se è possibile nelle prossime lezioni avere i sottotitoli in italiano ?

Non possiamo tornare indietro e aggiungere sottotitoli a meno che non abbiamo un membro della comunità che può aiutare con esso 🖤

Hello my painting hero! I'm from The Dominican Republic, and I have a small foundation TejídosLaCasita.com that helps the kids to be away from the street. We teach Crochet and Painting completely free.A lot of my ideas come from your channel.my u question is if is ok to teach others on you tube,in Spanish to my students and others that already asked me about where I get my ideas. I always refer them to you or any other painting channels I get ideas, but they get disappointed because of the language.thanks for being an inspiration!

I’m from Kansas City. My problem painting is that I’m my worst critic.
