Great video work, also. Bravo ! Now I can dump those other channels that would leave me annoyed and frustrated. LOL.

Some incredible works that these guys make. It's not what I paint, but I'm a big fan of it.

@@mikeszczutkowski3066 I wonder if there is something wrong with batch of createx paints or the reducer you're using. If your airbrush is spraying inks well, it would seem to be the case. I've had a few bottles of illustration colors that would never spray right. Createx was awesome and replaced them for me. You might want to reach out to them to see if they can help you with it.

Excellent video, as always. I have an H&K Ultra 2024, and the nozzle cap is enclosed to prevent damage. The problem is, I cannot seem to get at it to clean it to avoid tip dry. Any suggestions?
@theartworkshop6 күн бұрын
A round synthetic paint brush works great for that. Wet it with some water or cleaning solution and you'll easily be able to clean tip dry off with the needle protection cap on. After cleaning, remember to point the airbrush in another direction from your work and press down on the trigger to blow off any of that excess cleaner from the needle.
@TryptychUK6 күн бұрын
@@theartworkshop Any reason why the brush should be synthetic?
@theartworkshop6 күн бұрын
@@TryptychUK No, any brush is fine! It's just because synthetic brushes are inexpensive. The brush is going to get beat up cleaning out a nozzle cap. You wouldn't want to use a winsor newton series 7 for this.

I replaced all the seals on my evo2024 because it wasnt working and couldnt get the bottom of it. I eventually found it was a tiny tiny dot of clear varnish on the floating needle cap so it wasnt 100% snug and air was escaping around it.

Would you ever use airbrush thinner or flow improver instead of water like vallejo thinner?
@theartworkshop4 күн бұрын
Absolutely! I use what the paint manufacturer recommends with their paint line. Unfortunately I don't have much experience with vallejo paints. But they are a well established company, so I would read the instructions on the bottle and reduce with what they recommend. If they say to use their thinner, that's what I would use. I would not use their reducers with another company's paint line though.

When I started with airbrush painting I was eager to try those schmincke acrylic inks, since everyone is praising them. After a while my skin started to itch, it spread all over the body, eyes went dry, coughing... I bought respirator with organic fumes protection, but since I wear glasses and - according to measurements - large face, it is really uncomfortable to paint for a longer period of time. I bought Goldens. Same story. Finally createx illustration line allowed me to paint with only EN149 =anti - particle respirator with no problems. I would like to ask you why have you switched from createx to schmincke. Is there any quality difference? I remember, that schmincke, since most of them are opaque and really heavy pigmented, they are hell to clean afterwards. But at least they explicity tell you what pigment number they use, which is not the case with createx. Even those names createx use are really missleading. I used to paint with oils and createx burnt umber is definitely not what a burnt umber is supposed to look like. In the end, I am glad, that I can paint without a spacesuit, so I will keep using createx. Anyway, thank you for your videos. You are part of a public human repository, so that others do not have to waste their time by fiddling years with technical problems and they acutally can do something without reinventing the wheel.
@theartworkshop5 күн бұрын
That is awful. I'm so sorry to hear that! Was it an allergy to the paint? I'm a big advocate for respirators as well. Anytime I'm spraying in volume, there is always a respirator on my face. Createx paints are awesome-a very high quality brand. The reason that I switched to schminke is because I was looking for a replacement for com-art colors which were recently discontinued; a paint stronger than the illustration line, yet still erasable. I will probably be switching to holbein in a year or so to test out those new acrylic inks line that replaced aeroflash colors. Thank you so much for the kind words. Please look after yourself (wear that respirator!) and be well. All the very best to you.

@@theartworkshop I think it was a reaction to biocides contained in the paint. Those BIT, CIT, MIT, OIT substances highlighted on the bottles. When I used Amsterdam acrylic sprays with only BIT and CIT I had no issues. I understand they put it in there in order to prevent spoiling of the paint. I just wanted to share my experience with it, so that people are aware, that it might be harmful without those big respirators. Thank you for your concerns and answer, I learned a lot from your videos. I kind of regret not finding your channel sooner, since I bought a few of various airbrushes and then had to sell them in order to buy Takumi. Truly all I need. keep all that great work!

I recently ran into w problem with my first airbrush where when I pulled back on the trigger paint would smoothly come out but if I kept it at the same trigger pull distance the paint would slowly run out and then I would be left spraying nothing eventually. Any idea what that could be. Also thank you for your videos just in general especially the videos like these they are so informative
@theartworkshop4 күн бұрын
Could be a few things. It could be the paint that you are using. I would check to make sure that you are spraying at a pressure high enough to atomize the paint. I would also check to make sure that your paint is not too thick, and that your needle tip is clear of tip dry. Do the water test at 25 psi or so to see if your airbrush is working properly. Then I would bump up your PSI to a higher than normal pressure (say 35 psi or more) and see if the airbrush can atomize the paint. Then you can drop it back to 25-30 and see if it's still working. Best to play around with those pressures and reductions to find the sweet spot.
@wolf-xf6hf4 күн бұрын
@ thanks so much I really appreciate it
@8allan4636 күн бұрын
Hey you got the new Infinity already 🎉! Love to see your feedback about this AB. My personal feeling is that it atomizes as good as a Micron. Its trigger response isn’t as instant as a Micron, but still consistent and comfortable to work with. It offers narrow spray pattern similarly as a 0.15 Infinity. But weirdly I found the spray pattern of the normal ver. becomes narrower when the pressure comes to 35 PSI, and the Squidma ver. doesn’t even spray the paint at all at 30 PSI. Perhaps there’s an issue with the aerodynamics in its design.
@theartworkshop6 күн бұрын
I ordered it day 1 of the presale! Just recieved it a few weeks ago so I'm still getting the hang of it. I haven't tested it at higher pressures yet, but I will get to it. I've been enjoying using it with reduced paint at lower pressures around 15 or so. It's a very interesting airbrush. video on it next week!
@theartworkshop6 күн бұрын
You are 100% right about this. There seems to be a point right around 34-37 psi where the spray pattern narrows. If I go higher or lower in pressure, the spray pattern returns to normal. Very strange! I've seen some excellent performance at lower pressures. Very good work from you finding this one!
