Miracle was found barely surviving in a ditch | The Asher House

On my way back to Oregon with Rain the Dalmatian, I got a call about a dog found down in a ditch by a river. This dog was in rough shape and because she was still alive, they named her Miracle ❤️

I couldn't agree more @gingergirl8797. My buddy boy Zeus is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier, which was rescued by the police and RSPCA in the UK. He'd been badly abused and used as a bait dog for dog fighting. For 7 months he was at the rescue centre and didn't respond to the kennel staffs affection for him. So my fiancee said we'd foster him. When he was brought out for the meet and greet. He ran over to my fiancee and I, rolled onto his back wanting attention and wouldn't stop giving us kisses. From that moment, my fiancee and I looked at each other and said we're going to adopt him at the same time. That was in September, 2018. Now Zeus wants for nothing apart from, food and drinks, walks, love and seeing his girlfriend Maisie, who was rescued from a puppy farm.

The woman who rescued Miracle said that she's currently on antibiotics, and Lee is giving her CBD also. It's Lee----so if there's anything else that can be done for her, he will do it.

I actually started full on crying when I saw her with the other dogs at the end. I'm so overwhelmed and happy for her. I don't know why this one hits me so hard in particular. They're all such wonderful dogs though. It's almost surreal how such wholesome lovely creatures really do exist all around us. Thank you so so much as always for everything you do for them all.

It’s wonderful that Rain has taken on something of a mother/big sister role with Miracle, as if she knew immediately that she could help her feel safe. I wonder if having Miri to snuggle with also gave her even more confidence than she gained in learning to trust Lee so quickly. Dogs are such amazing creatures with absolutely the very best souls. Miri might be one of the most loving dogs I’ve ever seen. Where she might so easily have been frightened, panicked and snappy, she immediately trusted Lee and snuggled in as close as possible. My heart smiles when I think of the love being shared at the sanctuary! ❤️🐕🐕‍🦺🦮🐶🐩

I have the toughest time with these kind of things where the dog is been just dumped and you find out that it was abused by the people that had it before. Why? Why do they feel the need to be this cruel to an animal. If they are this cruel to an animal, you can imagine what they're doing to their children! Miri is lovely, such a sad story, but she's living the good life now. There was a time when adults used to tell children that their dogs went to live on a farm (instead of what really happened). So nice to see that there really is such a place at the Asher House, Heaven on Earth for animals!💕🐾🌈
