My Pluto, ascending lunar node, mercury, and sun are all in my second house of Scorpio. I work as a ‘dancer’ (the spicy variety) two nights a week to fund my self-education as a portrait/pop-surrealism painter. Hopefully having so much activity in my second house bodes well for the future? 😅 not many artists reach financial security, but I’ve been stubbornly determined to get there eventually. I’ve always been optimistic regarding finances even though the odds are against me, and my family was very poor when I was a child.

Super interesting episode! I don't have any natal placements in my second house (Gemini), but its ruling planet (Mercury) falls retrograde in my 7th house (Scorpio), and is directly opposing my moon in my 1st house (Taurus). Various unexpected life events have led to me never being able to gain financial independence. I was dependent on my parents for the first half of my life and am now dependent on my partner. This has always been a very frustrating experience for me as a Taurus rising and moon. Money has always been a major source of frustration for me, as I don't have any real control over how it comes to me and how it is ultimately used. In all other aspects of my life, I am fiercely independent.

same, but I have pluto and mars in the 2H in scorpio. Rather than being confident about making money I've always been sure that I could be happy even if I didn't make much. I've never cared about becoming rich. Even though mars in the 2H is linked to spending a lot, I've never liked to waste money in useless things, and I'm somewhat frugal. I tend to buy few things, only what I really need, but good quality so they last longer. Might be because mars is closely trining my saturn in pisces in the 6H.

It seems you missed giving a delineation for the ruler of the 2nd in the 1st house, and the ruler of the 2nd in the 2nd house - and instead started with ruler of the 2nd in the 3rd. Not a huge complaint as you've done a stellar job, particularly with brain fog etc, but was looking forward to hearing those as one of them is my own combo which I struggle to understand or find much info on!

I am nearly 100% that C mentioned the ruler of the 2nd in the first. Try the Egyptian King bit and then he repeats it later

I have a friend with venus (chart ruler), mercury and jupiter all in 2nd house scorpio. Money doesn't appear to be a major factor in her life so far. But she is polyamorous and a lot of her experience with that is how it questions the idea of how much she owns other people's time, consent (ownership of your own vs someone else's body), and how much of a claim you have to another person. Also how that should effect your self worth and how to do things like buy a house in a polyamorous relationship. Not what I would have guessed those placements would be referring to but super interesting.

Phenomenal episode! My chart and 12th house ruler (Saturn) is in the 2nd , as well as the Moon. I've experienced financial deception from employers time and time again, with Saturn squaring my MC and Jupiter (ruler of the 2nd, 11th, and MC). Currently going through my 2nd house Saturn return and the timing of this episode feels perfect with the eclipse!

MacKenzie Scott’s chart was so stunning. I might add that her Saturn in 2 as the ruler of 10 could somewhat direct all that wealth into “what she leaves behind” or her legacy, another signification of 10, I think.

The king of egypt stealing seemingly random things might come from mars also ruling his 7th house of other people. Thus, anything of value that belonged to another person was fair game.the moon is also there and rules the 10th so things that were valuable to the public and belong to authority figures. goddamn, astrology is so fascinating.

I am so frustrated with my 2nd house, I have a huge stellium in it and no typical astrological interpretation I have found ever applies. I have positive and negative planets in it. I'm not very materialistic and I don't have a lot of wealth. I'm indifferent to money but I'm good with it. In fact, the second house is my least favorite house!!! I always feel my stellium does not apply to the typical symbols, like money, that the 2nd house implies. I wish you had gotten more into the self-worth interpretation of the 2nd house, as that has always resonated more with me. My stellium is in Libra (in order): Mercury (Ruler of my Asc.), Saturn, Jupiter, Vesta, Venus, and Pluto.

I understand where you're coming from, I have Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto all in Libra in 2nd house plus Saturn in Libra in 1st house. Sometimes I have money, sometimes I don't. It comes, it goes and I like spending it on making people happy. There is no obsession there with it. Self worth has been a big theme and my values too, constantly being reworked, destroyed and rebuilt on true solid foundations. A key point to know would be your age also and Saturn placement because with me, as my self worth has grown so too have my opportunities, inspiration and ideas to make money.

Brilliant episode thank you Chris and Leisa! Regarding Madonna’s AC I just rewatched a tv interview she gave in the UK in 1999 in which I remembered she talked about astrology a bit. The interviewer is Johnny Vaughn and he’s only interviewed her once so it’s easy to find and available on KZbin (she has dark brown straight shoulder length hair like in the Nothing really matters video of the Ray of Light era.) In it she states that she is Sun Leo, Moon Virgo and AC Aquarius. Of course she could be mistaken, but she seems pretty confident about it. This would also place her Moon in 8th house of death. Her mother’s death was a big tragedy for her. Mercury in 8th: talks a lot about taboo subjects. I haven’t looked at a lot of things based on this chart but Aquarius AC for her seems a better fit than Virgo: challenging social norms through her body, appearance and physicality which Virgo is not so keen on. I do wonder where this Virgo AC comes from. Birth certificate?
