Based on the things that inspired this movie and how we have all these other characters and are seemingly getting a Bat family very soon, I think it might be a stand in for Super Boy down the line. Gets an introduction now as a younger clone of Clark and then in a few years he can pop back up as Superboy.

I think the kaiju is something that Lex made after breaking into the Fortress, mortally damaging Kelex, and stealing Kryptonian technology to look for ways to either make Superman look bad or keep him busy.

I think Superman helped Boravia citizens from it's oppresive government, that government then did some kind terrorist attack on US as a revenge leading to those buildings falling, which led to US citizens blaming and hating Superman in that scene.

I have a feeling "Ultraman" will probably end up being either Bizarro or Ulysses. I don't think he will actually be named Ultraman. Otherwise, if they ever bring in the Crime Syndicate, that's going to be confusing. Unless they'll do a reverse for Earth-3. I.E., whereas in Earth-1, Superman is the real deal while Ultraman is the clone, in Earth-3, Ultraman is the real deal while Superman is the clone. Which would be really interesting.

DC’s Ultraman is an evil Superman from Earth-3 who invades other worlds for domination, while Tsuburaya’s Ultraman is a heroic alien from the Land of Light in Nebula M78, protecting Earth from monsters and aliens. Both versions involve crossing dimensions, but one seeks control, and the other embodies sacrifice and defense." Meaning, he's a variant of superman and seems bigger than this worlds superman. Who is also pretty big. I wouldnt be surprised if it was handing of the torch that henry thought be a great idea to have this superman beat his.

Having Angela Spica's version of the Engineer in this film could really help to propel the story. It looks like in one scene, Lex is breeching the Fortress of Solitude. If I were trying to break into Superman's crib and didn't know what kind of tech might be securing the facility, or how to get access to Kryptonian tech for my own ambitions, having someone like Engineer on my crew would make a ton of sense. But ALSO Mr Terrific figures into this trailer heavily, and Engineer is not just part of Superman's rogues gallery but ALSO Mr Terrific's. And it makes a lot of sense! Her power set and intellect is a good match up against his. It's almost like Gunn read comic books before and doesn't want to throw anything out to try to be a cinematic edge lord and have the characters only superficially resemble their deep comic book lore.

Again. Creature Commandos main villain is likely .... Granny Goodness who was a victim of Darkseid's indoctrination into a master villain. She was also a threat to Darkseid as she acquired god powers and we saw in the Circe vision that she working with Grodd can take over the entire world and kill all the superheroes. Lex would be a nuisance to Granny Goodness if she is the main villain of Creature Commandos. Therefore James Gunn maybe seeking to redeem Granny Goodness leaving Superman to only worry about Lex. Remember Granny Goodness also has a tragic backstory ... just like the The Bride, GI Robot, & Weasel.

A close up breakdown of the teaser shows Boravia soldiers go at a border, they use something called the hammer to attack, and in CC Jarhanpur is fleeing their country, the soldiers use lex power suit colors, and team Lord tech helps lex but they don't know he's behind it. Public hates Superman cuz Lex frames him for making things worse. Lex's 2 top soldiers are sent in with aggros to arrest Superman when team Lord fails. That's all that's easy to figure out for now

I Hope James Gunn did not Butcher Some Continuity and Made Ultraman from this Universe but Like a Clone of Superman, I Was so Excited when I Heard Ultraman was going to be in DCU Superman, I Thought at the Time Maybe the Multiverse was going to make Some Impact on this World maybe what the Flash Did all the Universes Colliding into Each Other and Collapsing maybe alot of People from These Universe Fall into the DCU, Still Hope that is the Case.

Just seen the new sonic the hedgehog 3 movie and it did show the new Superman trailer but with two different scenes like the ones you showed. They swapped out the image of Lex holding the gun for Lex with sunglasses and his posse. And they swapped out the Mr. Terrific being shot at, for just the image you just showed of him in profile. My guess is because they showed the trailer before a PG kids movie they don’t want parents being up in arms about showing images of guns or being shot at by machine guns. And that is the Engineer being played by Maria Gabriela de Faria.

If ultraman is in this movie does that mean that lex has a way to transport across the multiverse and the rest of the crime syndicate could appear. Maybe ultraman impersonating Superman is what led to that crowd yelling at Superman as he walked into the building.

I highly doubt that this version of Ultraman is the classic Earth 3 version. More likely IMO that this version of Ultraman is a Luthor-engineered Superman clone that will devolve into a version of Bizarro.
