Theater journalists Jesse Green, Michael Musto and Patrick Pacheco discuss the upcoming productions for spring 2017 in New York City, including revivals of "Hello, Dolly!" starring Bette Midler, Glenn Close in "Sunset Boulevard," "Sunday in the Park with George" starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Annaleigh Ashford, "Miss Saigon," August Wilson's "Jitney," Laura Linney and Cynthia Nixon swapping roles in "The Little Foxes," new plays "Sweat," "Indecent," "A Doll's House Part 2" and Cate Blanchett in "The Present"; new musicals "Groundhog Day," "Anastasia," "Amélie," "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory," and "War Paint" starring Patti LuPone and Christine Ebersole. Notable off-Broadway productions are the Public Theater's "Joan of Arc: Into The Fire" composed by David Byrne and directed by Alex Timbers, Classic Stage Company’s "Pacific Overtures," and "Sweeney Todd" at Barrow Street Theatre.
Finally, La MaMa Experimental Theater on New York's Lower East Side, is celebrating the 50th anniversary of "Hair, The American Tribal Love-Rock Musical," so we end our episode with a 2009 performance of one of the iconic songs from the show, "Where Do I Go?" by lyricist/librettist James Rado, composer Galt McDermot and actor Gavin Creel who played the same role in the 2009 revival of "Hair" that Rado originated in 1967.
This episode has been ADOPTED by ELLEN SEGRIFF.

Theater Talk is a series devoted to the world of the stage. It began on New York television in 1993 and is co-hosted by Michael Riedel (Broadway columnist for the New York Post) and series producer Susan Haskins.
The program is one of the few independent productions on PBS and now airs weekly on Thirteen/WNET in New York and WGBH in Boston. Now, CUNY TV offers New York City viewers additional opportunities to catch each week's show. (Of course, Theater Talk is no stranger to CUNY TV, since the show is taped here each week before its first airing on Thirteen/WNET.)
The series is produced by Theater Talk Productions, a not-for-profit corporation and is funded by contributions from private foundations and individuals, as well as The New York State Council on the Arts.
