Totally agree. If few hours of Chisus suffer is put next to people dying for few years on the ALS, than clearly Chisus had just a bad day.

I was a fundamentalist Christian, believing and devout, from birth. But I never a real deep emotional connection to Jesus and his suffering and his "gift" to us. And I am and have always been a very empathetic and caring , emotional person, toward real and fictional characters. But even as a true believer, I just never felt it.

It baffles me that Christians don't recognise when they're just pulling properties of their God out of their butt or arguing their version of God into existence. It reminds me of crazy fantasy stories kids make up or the arguments boys have over whose dad is stronger

The wikipedia page for Pakistan says the country has freedom of religion. So either Shaw is wrong or the wikipedia page is wrong.

You can have freedom of religion and still have one particular religion in a privileged position compared to all the others. Like he said, when the country's official name is the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, it should come as no surprise that at least some parts of their legislation have been based on Sharia law. Also, when you have a blasphemy law with the potential for death penalty, I would definitely want to keep my atheism to myself.
