God gave explicit instructions *NOT* to eat shellfish, wear two different cloths at once, kill, steal, and work on the weekend. He *explicitly* said to never do those things, and to do those things is a sin. But suddenly, with slavery, it’s “well, we were gonna do it anyway, so…” No. If it was forbidden in Hebrew law, it would say “Thou shalt not own slaves/thou shalt not own others as property/etc.” But it never did. So they changed the word slave to servant in the bible, to make it seem that slavery wasn’t a thing back then. Anyone who studies history, or even just watches movies and dramas based on history, knows that slavery has been part of history pretty much forever. It was a normal part of life until just over a century ago. This fact alone should show that if the christian god was real, it would have known that slavery is morally wrong and if the bible is that god’s word, it would be wrong in the bible. It was written by men, doing the things that men did at the time it was written. The Romans (nobles and the wealthy) had slaves. They weren’t servants. They weren’t paid. They did exactly what they were told to do, and that could be anything.

One of the oldest extant bibles is a manuscript written in Ancient Hebrew from the 5th or 6th century. The word that was used to describe the Hebrew slaves in Egypt was “Ebet.” When describing slavery in Exodus 21, Leviticus 25, etc., they used the same word, Ebet. So there is no doubt they were talking about slavery, not simply servitude.

He will rationalize it all as God's plan and simply move on trying his best to forget it all. He may even immerse himself in prayer and bible study to forget what he has been told. What do Atheists, Christians, and fanatics of Religions need and want from the God of Jesus Christ? ANSWER - Nothing. What does the God of Jesus Christ want from human beings? ANSWER - The God of Jesus Christ WANTS all human beings to submit to the authority of Jesus Christ as his Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth and believe too his teachings about the "Kingdom of God" and "Resurrection of the Dead" so they can bring themselves honor and his favor and reward of ETERNAL LIFE and existence on earth without sufferings, pains, griefs, sickness, and death How will persons on earth who honor and obey Jesus Christ live and exist on earth eternally if they just become worthless dusts after their deaths? ANSWER - The teaching of Jesus Christ about the "Resurrection of the Dead" is the guarantee that all lowly, ordinary, kind, and respectful persons on earth who died recently and thousands of years ago like Abel, Noah, Abraham, Sarah, Isaac, Jacob, Joseph, Moses, Job, Ruth, Naomi, King David, Jesus Christ's Followers and disciples, and many others will all be RESURRECTED back to life in the right and proper time so they can happily, abundantly, and peacefully live and exist on earth forever as subjects and citizens of the "KINGDOM of GOD" and fully enjoy the eternal love, kindness, goodness, generosities, compassions, favors, and blessings of God and his Christ for eternity under the loving and kind rulership, guidance, and protection of Jesus Christ as his God and Father's Chosen King and Ruler of the heavens and the earth.

If you're unable to argue your position without stuttering the entire time (unless you have a stutter naturally), then you should really consider reevaluating your position. If the things you believe aren't problematic, then you should have no problem firing back and dismantling challenges to your beliefs.

The bible was written by men who knew nothing about the world outside the middle east. They wrote their history from what they knew but twisted it. They were Judean and made out that the Israelite kingdom was actually run by David and Solomon. The stories about the flood and creation are just standard myths which were the understandable ❤

"I'm a Christian, and I believe the Biblical 'god', I'm not in a denomination, .... my foundation is the Bible." Okay. So, do you mind if I ask a few questions? 1. Which Bible did you read - King James in English, the Greek, the Hebrew, the Aramaic? 2. How do you know the Bible is telling the 100% factual truth about anything in it? It's been translated to multiple languages from its original spoken form over the past 10,000 years - if I look at any daily newspaper today, I will find a number of spelling or grammar mistakes in it. Do you think that 10,000 years of translation propagated through translation ad infinitum has produced zero mistakes? 3. How did you verify that the Bible you read is actually the correct content? 4. Do you remember that the Roman Catholic Church in its early days decided to throw away "books" of the Bible that some arbitrary group of pontiffs chose to believe were not the "true" Bible?

The Bible was progressive in late slavery. The idea that it was not permissible to beat a slave to death was revolutionary at the time. As slave ownership declined in early feudalism, slave ownership was replaced by serfdom. So, as time passed, the moral norms changed, so the difference between social and biblical moral norms became bigger and bigger. So the problem of Christian apologists is not ancient slavery, but a desperate attempt to preserve biblical moral norms that have long been overcome. Better a grave than a slave!😎

11:50 The hunter squints into the camera, blood upon his lips. Any who know this hunter, know, he is about to strike. He has sat, still and waiting, unaffected by the pleading of his prey. Here at this moment we see the majestic hawk striking from behind the sun, at a helpless Pidgeon. The crocodile rising from the black depths of the river like a reptilian demi-god. The spider's lightning strike to end its prey, for this prey has wandered into the wrong house. This house, built of logic, will not stand the pleas of the scatter-minded or the apologist. Oh they may wax rhetorical with falsehoods and fallacies, but the dread stones of this chapel of knowledge only echoes logic, and the mindless hear no echo. Just the faint breathing of the predator, waiting, watching.

@@peter1052 those books contain the revelation of salvation by grace through faith that was written down over a 1500 year period by 40 authors in three languages yet was not revealed until after the death and ressurection of Christ. Those books also reveal how we are to live and walk in love and harm no one. That our lives are to benefit others in any way we can. To be peaceful and give and share and forgive . What's your point ? I think your getting distracted by a meaningless argument . Look at the contents of those books or letters and you'll see the truth. But you'll need to really look at them ,not just dismiss them by those who reject and smear what God has preserved for us to know the truth.
