Paraluman is an Filipino actress, way back 60's (just type Paraluman, Filipino/Philippine actress. She is beautiful.😍😍😍). There is no El bimbo specific dance; but, it is somewhat a street dance - a free combination of chachacha, rumba, swing etc... Ermita is place in capital Manila. Which is known to be a dark, red-lighted area (full of pubs and prostitution dens).

Eraserhead songs are so relateable that you feel so open whenever you listen or sing them. The lyrics are like plucked out from someone's journal, the wordings are so deep and meaningful. They're the legends for us Batang 90s. They're like the roots of OPM for us.

You have to check the band and their lyrics. Eraserheads songs sparks a lot of debate from college students and their teachers, the drunkards and I remember "ALAPAAP" song was featured in a lot news TV during those times! Spolarium song also rose controversy to the iconic trio "Tito, Vic & Joey". Ely B. is really a genius when writing lyrics. He really base the story to everyday lives of people, just like their song "Para sa Masa". P. S I'm a 90s baby and I am proud Eheads became part of my growing up Playlist! 😎

I was born in early 1980's and I grew up listening to Eraserhead's songs in 1990's. This musical was adopted from their hit song "Ang Huling El Bimbo". When this song came out, it became a mega hit. During our vacant time or after class hours, my male and female classmates loved to play Eraserhead's songs with their guitars.

Here's a line by line translation... I hope this help's yoy understand the story... 1st Stanza: "Kamukha mo si Paraluman" You looked like Paraluman (Popular actress in the 50's [not accurate]) "Nang Tayo ay bata pa" when we we're young (kids) "At ang galing-galing mong sumayaw" And you were so good at dancing "Mapa boogie man o chacha" whether it's boogie or chacha "Ngunit ang paborito" But my favorite is "Ang pag sayaw mo ng El-bimbo" when you dance El-bimbo "Nakaka indak, nakaka aliw, nakaka tindig balahibo" it's groovy, and entertaining which gives you goosebumps Refrain: "Pagka galing sa eskwela ay didiretso na sa inyo" After school, we run straight to your house "At buong mag hapon ay tinuturuan mo ako" And the rest of the day you spent on teaching me Chorus: "Magka hawak ang ating kamay at walang kamalay-malay" "Our hands intertwined, and without noticing" "Na tinuruan mo ang puso ko na umibig ng tunay" You taught my heart how to truly fall inlove. 2nd stanza: "Naninigas ang aking katawan" My body goes stiff "kapag umikot na ang plaka" when the record starts rolling "sabay sa kembot ng bewang mo" And your hips starts moving "At sa pungay ng iyong mga mata" with the sparkles in your eyes "Lumiliwanag ang buhay habang tayoy magka akbay" My life brightens up as our hands are on each others shoulders "At dahan-dahang dumudulas ang kamay ko sa makinis mong braso" And my hands slowly slips down on your smooth arms Refrain 2: "Sana noon paman ay sinabi na sa iyo" how I wish I've told you sooner "Kahit hindi na uso ay ito lang ang alam ko" even if it's not the trend anymore, yet this is all I know (Repeat the Chorus) 3rd Stanza: "lumipas ang maraming taon" Many years have passed "di na tayo nag kita" we didn't get to see each other anymore "Balita ko'y may anak ka na" I heard you had a kid "Ngunit walang asawa" But no husband "taga hugas ka raw ng pinggan sa may Ermita" they say your a dishwasher somewhere in Ermit "At isang gabi'y nasagasaan sa isang madilim na eskinita" And one night you got on an accident in a dark alley Refrain 3: "Lahat ng pangarap ko'y bigla nang natunaw" All of my hope melts away "Sa panaginip nalang pala kita maisasayaw" Now I can only dance with you on my dreams (Repeat Chorus) ...
