It's been a while since I uploaded the last video, but here is another one, performed by Walt Strony.

It was Franz Lehar who composed the music for The Merry Widow operetta. Whenever my dad was in a pensive mood, it was his habit to whistle these melodies through the back of his teeth even though he was an accomplished violinist. This wonderful recording took me down memory lane.

Rick I have no idea who you are or where you call home but what you said reminded me of my Father past on so many long years ago. He loved the same classics and especially Gilbert and Sullivan , he polished up the handle so carefully. Patrick Gogarty

Wonderful recording by a talented artist! Does anyone familiar with the opera know which piece is being quoted at 5:23? It's a wonderful, boisterous sound on the organ. I don't recognize it, but would love to know what it is!

I have the same question about the piece quoted at 5.23! I have the sheet music for whole operetta and it seems not to be part of this work. Anyone have any ideas please!!! Thanks!!!
