its so interesting to hear different perspective, especially from someone whos not that familiar with kpop because i generally feel like girlgroups always have such cool outfits and styling in general and boygroups... are just there? its not the case for everyone obviously but i feel like boygroups (especially less popular ones) tend to follow fashion trends more, but girlgroups have more variety in their looks. i might be wrong tho

2:45 I kinda get what she's saying and I do have been missing the extravagant matching stage outfits and multiple fits from GG concerts during 2nd gen. Nowadays, intl tours are stuck with terrible outfits and the encore (closing tour concert in Korea) is given the best treatment lol But XG though??? Have you seen their concert outfits? Blew me away! Can't say I agree when it comes to photoshoots though!! GG are still doing good, especially aespa.

Idk, I think the male fashion is just as stagnant if not more. If anything atleast we're getting some variety once in a while with GG but Male fashion has rarely those wow moments now. I just think it's her preference for what she's seen so far where she's preferred BG.

I think the preference of either girl groups or boy groups needs to be studied. Me personally, I also like boy groups more but when asked why, I cant really give a reason. You could say music, fashion, or just vibes, but at the end of the day you can find it all from both. Like aespa, you can find girl groups with music you like, fashion you like, vocals you like, or anything. They both have their pros and cons, so why does our mind shift more towards one or the other? Its so weird to think about because again, if someone asks me why I like bgs more than ggs I really don't have an answer 😭

I mean maybe I'm biased too since my faves are nwjns and they've been involved in fashion since debut. every performance they have customised outfits, all of them are signed as ambassdors to luxury brands, etc

all the kpop boys look the same, they have two hairstyles at this point, they are either in a tank top or a blouse with the skinniest jeans ever... like the 1st and 2nd gen male idols had actual perosonal styles!! like heechul from superjunior looked like an actual fairy at some point with his hair ( just search 'heechul long hair' and you'll see what i mean.. )

I think some of the more I guess stylish ggs are aespa, ITZY, BlackPink, and XG (maybe some of the new 4th & 5th gen groups like Babymonster too but I don’t listen to most of them). Possibly (G)I-DLE. I feel like Blackswan will be one of those groups, too. I think it depends on the concept and the media, like if it's an mv or a stage, but I can definitely see her point.
