honestly, that's what its labeled as but it is very toxic in general. i was one of the many people who fell into the consumerism of wonyoungism, I started eating less, working out when I was already tired, forced myself to sleep less so that I could wake up earlier, it came to the point where I almost fully developed an eating disorder, and this was me avoiding the "toxic people" too on the surface it might look like self care but it isn't, and I can tell you coming from someone who was obsessed with wonyoungism for a good time I will say that it barely is about wonyoung, shes just the face of wonyoungism and nothing more + I'm not trying to trauma dump, sorry if this is too much!!😭😭 i just really wanna bring awareness to wonyoungism and what it can do to a person

wrong, wonyoungism is just a fandom where people who like wonyoung want to talk to others and be mutuals with others who also do. Many of them want to find people who share the same goals and intrests the most common one is obv self care, this allows their fyp to be better and motivate them in an easier way ,a fandom. Also not to mention the "toxic" people were already toxic and had 3d before wonyoungism, so no wonyounhism didn't make them have 3d they already had it. Also, all fandoms have toxic people in it. yall act like this is the only one. If anyone blinks,armies,bunnies,engenes, and strays are more toxic. Talk about those fandoms more, not wonyoungism. About "I am", I've never seen any reactor say it, but to me, this song works because it's not just a song, it's an anthem. I can't fully explain why but it has the codes of an anthem for me, the repetitive melody as you said from the pre-chorus to the chorus, the fact they all sing it together, even the little accapela part before the last chorus makes it look like a solist part in an anthem. It has a very solemn feel somehow and I think the MV really emphasize that with the black and white colour scheme, very "business suit" outfits, the catwalk at the end which could make it look like a march... It just works and it has a vibe that no other kpop song has (at least from what I know)

Fr this is what ive been saying too… It literally is an anthem and that’s why it reminds me so much of izone’s songs, definitely the best ive tt ever. Having been to both of their concerts it was so amazing to see everyone hyped up as soon as they heard the song start and everyone was engaged at every single second of the song- the chorus and especially the bridge, highnote and last chorus.

ACCENDIO MV is also related to traditional Korean folktales. The dark version of IVE is transformed back to their original form, and their clothes run off as mice. In Korea, there is a folk tale called "The Mouse that Ate Fingernails", It tells the story of a young man who went to a temple to study. One day, while the young man was cutting his nails, the monk in the temple told him to wrap the nails up before throwing them away, or else something bad would happen. The young man didn't take it seriously. After completing his studies and returning home, he found a doppelganger who looked exactly like him in his house. After a dispute, the real young man was driven away. He ran to seek help from the monk, who told him to bring a cat home. The fake young man saw the cat and ran away in fear. In the end, he was bitten to death by the cat. Upon closer inspection, the body looked like a mouse, revealing that the mouse had eaten the fingernails left by a ghost on the mountain and used transformation skills to impersonate the young man.

Shes also a foodie, people think she "starves" because she's skinny but she is 5'8 WITH fast metabolism it's obv how she's built and hard for her tk gain that's why sometimes when she gains weight she loses it fast because she can't maintain it, it's hard. My sis also has fast metabolism she eats like crazy shit and can't gain. All us foodies eat like that because we are excited to eat food. It's said by her ive members she eats the most in the group. I'm an old kpop listener since in grade school. Grade six specifically. Till now I'm updated to almost all kpop groups. I can say they are the only kpop group in girls group who maintain the essence and the originality of kpop song compared to other group. I can say they are on the top in the kpop world.

I absolutely agree. Love other girlgroups but IVE’s music and even concept has a specific dedication to the essence of kpop. I love when they try new things like in Baddie and to some extent Heya, but songs like I AM and After Like capture everything I loved in Kpop from a young age.

I've been a listener since I was five years old, and I'm also on top of pretty much the entire scene as well. I would say that IVE does have great originality and and impressive standard of quality, but if we're talking about maintaining the essence of classic Kpop, it's without a doubt fromis_9. In a way, that's likely part of what's holding them back from gaining the popularity of some other groups, because IVE adopts more foreign influence in their music than fromis_9 does. fromis_9 has always been known as a group of visuals and skilled idols, but the way they stay true to the ideal of a classic girl group is why they don't have as much western popularity, while being ranked #1 for popular groups in the Korean military, and also having more appeal to Koreans than foreigners statistically. More than IVE's appeal to schoolchildren in Korea or to international fans, I'd say that popularity in the military is a far better metric for how much a group sticks to what Kpop originally was, at least for girl groups. TWICE, Apink, G-Friend, and all the other groups who were largely regarded as being traditional Kpop(maybe not currently but at some point in time) were very popular in the military.

I AM is really such a masterpiece, and I love it so much. I liked it from the first listen, but the part that really struck it home for me was the part where Rei said "I hope you'd be someone's dream come true" because that line is just so hopeful and inspirational. That buildup of amazing nostalgic pop into that one line was so impactful to me that I just got the chills as soon as I processed what I just heard. From the album b-sides, I really liked Lips as well.

Personally, If I'd rank "Love Dive" up to 13, I'd put it above 12. I considered it among the best kpop songs ever, if not the best. @@kpxproductions If you want to cut down on the # of vids I listed, you can technically cut out 1-4, having thought on it, as they are solos (gives each member their own vibe, and a "before they met" story that helps vids 5 & 6 make sense)... and 10 because no mv. Cutting 1-4 would eliminate 3 videos that have a pause in the song for a moment of storyline stuff, which I just learned Kazinho doesn't like. lol. The rest of the songs do not have any pauses. hahaha I used to do reactions, so thinking time-wise cutting those makes sense as well, unless you like them enough to do multiple videos.

Fun facts: Wonyoung was 13 on the survival show. Main is the strongest and person in charge of the specific role, Lead is a support role of the Main that complements he/she due to also being strong in that role. Ie. Gaeul is lead rapper because her rap is good but Rei is main rapper because thats her main role and her best characteristic, whereas Gaeul main role is dancer.

In my opinion, while I AM is THE anthem for IVE and it's amazing, i love Heya so much more than I AM, eventhough the first verse kinda irks me, the moment Wonyoung's voice comes on that pre chorus, it just goes up from there and the last chorus just makes me so happy. @@kpxproductions suggestions for stray kids :) Pop genre - levanter (M/V) - blind spot (this one is really good idk what else to say I just enjoyed it, great song) - Blueprint (M/V) (one of my fav songs, kinda similar to phobia) ‘Stray kids’ style: - charmer (fan favorite for STAYS, we love this song :))) - Hall of fame (this one is really unique imo, I love ittt and i think you guys would too :) ) - Topline feat. Tiger JK (M/V) ((super great very hype as well!) - Collision (M/V i think lol ) (I love this song it’s actually perfect, great retro(?) vibe)) One more note: Stray kids produces and writes all of their music, I don’t know any other group that does that other than BTS to some extent. Their live performances are also actually insane, saw them live at concert and they had a band with real instruments for backing which was hype AF too. day 2 saying that you two should react to Ado's Ussewa, Unravel (live), Aishite, New Genesis (live) and crime and punishment. Ado is a Japanese singer who doesn't show her face, but became known because of her unique, distorted vocal style, she is only 21 and already haves an impressive vocal range, her debut music is ussewa and if im not wrong, she was 17 when she debuted.Vocaloids are her inspiration, so I think that's why she has such a unique vocal style, she conveys the right emotion in the songs...

I'm not even into IVE like that but can this dude stop saying his very subjective opinions on music are objective? It's really silly. I I bet he's saying this on all other videos. Musical taste is a thing, just because you hold an opinion it does not mean it's objective or the absolute truth. it's actually the exact opposite. I personally do not enjoy EDM in most songs. That does not mean that it's awful, it's just not my thing. He's just throwing this out there so it looks that he has more musical 'knowledge' and it would seem as if his words hold weight. They do not. It's his own opinion on some songs. And that's valid in its own right, but it is nowhere around objective or the absolute truth. That's absolute bs. about the “middle eastern” vibes/instrumental, ive does use it a lot more beyond ‘eleven’. the best example would be ‘blue blood’, b-side of ‘i’ve ive’ (‘i am’ as title track), where the music breaks are pretty much straight samples of arabic strings. i’d recommend listening to that if you want to hear more of it!

I think my only complaint about the accendio music video is that the acting and camera work could've been so much better and it wouldve pulled the whole music video together because the lore behind it is just so good. In my opinion they just lacked expressions, especially in the fight scene where it didn't really look like they were fighting at all because their expressions were so stagnant. Like you don't have to have a model expression/face on all the time, I'd rather see more intense expressions because the lack of facial expressions made the whole thing feel extremely staged. At the same time though, I can see how the tackiness mightve been a stylistic choice. But the song itself is definitely a new favorite, maybe 2nd favorite after love dive
