If you mean the distance, defense starts behind the brick in UFA. This was changed in 2023 to give defenses an advantage at the pull. Has provided some spectacular callahans.

im assuming an unsportsmanlike penalty or something after the goal against new york. which allowed boston the yardage advantage off the pull if youre asking why they rolled it, maybe the clock starts on fist touch, so they wanted the clock to srtat asap. a high floater would give receivers time to make it to endzone

I'm thinking that after a turnover the broadcast didn't reset the game clock to be consistent with the on field game clock. Hence why the announcers are aware that there are 8 seconds left when they say it but the broadcast clock is different.
