Yet again a successful reno, always appreciate your honest feedback with the tools you use. Can't wait to see how the zoysia is going and what your plans will be re transplanting it to the green.

New toy shows up and your old man is down there for a turn on it everytime🤣 lawn looks good and the ryobi does clearly have its place most people wouldnt be buying a petrol one but they could just hire one but i guess by the time you do that twice you could have brought the ryobi 🤙

Wish they made a brush attachment for this too would be great for leaves

One extra thing I would add about the spring wire attachment is the remember to check its condition after every use. I had one break off when I was using it as a groomer on my Sir Grange but didn't realise. Well my cylinder mower found it for me and it left a nice little chip in the bed knife and reel. 🤬 On the plus side, the rake pulled up a good sized Couch runner that was hiding under the canopy so I painted that bad boy with Round Up real quick.

Seen neighbour few houses down using one a few weeks ago…. Was surprised the thatch he was getting out. I just picked up the predator for my business. Cheers for the content & Have a great weekend mate

I really think the slicing blades are better identified as a “verticutter” rather than calling it a scarifier, because they enter the ground vertically. The tool with the tynes I identify as a power rake. With a real scarifier tool the knives are set at an angle (15 degrees?). The blade enters the ground at and angle. Caution is advised if using the “power rake” on Zoysia, Buffalo and Kikuyu because the power rake pulls up the stolons.

Nice vid mate…didn’t realise they had a 36v - I’ve had the 2x 18v version for 3-4 years now & love it for my patch…inspiring me to undertake a mid season reno 👌

I have the 18v one of these and they are an excellent addition to home lawn care. I use 2 x 6ah batteries

Nice one, I've been using one of these at home for a couple years now haven't had one issue with it. The petrol stuff is better, but if you've only got a smallish lawn and you don't want to spend a heap of cash it works perfectly fine.

I have the Ozito equivalent of that. Most of my power equipment is Ozito so I can interchange the batteries. Got 2 large batteries and a couple of small ones (2.0 + 2.5). I use the larger ones (4.0) for mowing, scarifying and edging, and the smaller ones for the blower, spreader (fertiliser etc) and the hedge trimmer.

The Ryobi 36v batteries do have a hard time with hot days. Don't keep the spares in the sun. Maybe even keep them inside if it's a stinker.

I got myself a predator scarifier & grooming reel yesterday. I've noticed I have a fair bit of thatch whe i done a few plugs. Will i have to wait to use it since the lawn is under PGR? Thanks for another awesome content filled video. Have a great weekend legend.

Mate I was wondering if you used a spacer to lower the blades on your utility mower ?
@damodoesall624021 сағат бұрын
Would you recommend to use this with PGR and keep the grass groomed up and thatch free?

I got myself the 18v unit a few years ago for a little play. We use 2 Hyundai petrol units for the business. Found the Ryobi works really well. Even in thick buffalo. Batteries dont last very long and get really hot, really quickly. But i think they are a great little unit for a home owner. Another really good video mate. Hooe your getting some of this lovely rain your way.

Is there any literature on what the 4 different heights are? I've been looking to get one, but i would like to use it above and below dirt heights.

I have a Predator petrol scarifier (same as the Cox) and it came with 2 cartridges, solid coldly spaced blades like on your 46 which is a 'grooming reel' and an aggressive swing back thick blade reel Could I essentially just leave the grooming reel in there and just set the depth a bit deeper during renovation time to get below ground thatch, then during the season lift the height for a light groom? Or would the swing back aggressive scarifying cartridge be best for rennos?

IS that low cut rotary standard or did you need to modify it to cut sooo low?

Is it always preferable to scarify before you scalp? Does it make scalping easier?
