Again, another quality instructional presentation for “lawnies” and budding lawn lovers to watch, learn & most of all enjoy. Not a hint of golf greens, expensive equipment loaned, or extravagant maintenance schedules that the average punter would never maintain! Basic, straight forward information that is accurate, cost effective & trusted ……. Well Done 👍

Yeh I appreciate that you are catering for all types of viewers …… Have to say unlike other lawn channels you keep the lawn maintenance message pretty simple and basic. People appreciate that & then think “I can do that” & try to have a crack. You have steadily built up your subscribers on interesting material & helping others by showing them what to do …… keep up the good work 👍

Oh man, that sand was a surprise. Tons of pebbles in there. I had a similar experience on my back yard when i ordered from home depot. first time i ordered from them, stuff was great, 2nd time, it was a nightmare. Thanks again for these vids. exactly what i need to see.

Great job Brenton, Just finished renovating my Sir Walter 3 days ago, cut a bit shorter than you did on Ben's but seems to be coming back no problems at all. Cheers and thanks for the tips.

Damn - Ben probs washing showing it on camera but he must have been absolutely pissed seeing all those tiny stones. I experienced that when I ordered a tonne of washed river sand for my buffalo last year. Learnt to never order without inspecting ever again. Lucky I cut with a rotary… cutting with a cylinder might be a bit scary with all those stones.. Also, after watching your buffalo videos Brenton, I’ve learnt there is absolutely no need to top soil buffalo unless you have levelling issues. It just need a low cut every spring and all the goodies thrown down and watered in ✅

Yeah it was a good lesson in what not to do when ordering top dressing 😂 The couch will grow through the little stones and at 12mm he shouldn’t experience any issues.

Victa 2 strokes loving the action! Can't stall them even if you try. Does your victa mustang high arch rear catcher mower have the best grass catching performance of a push mower you have used?
@theaussielawn

YES with out question, It would suck up a concrete driveway given the opportunity, No mower even comes close not even my HONDA! Unfortunately Victa lost its way and is no longer the great brand it once was in my opinion

Love the vids Brenton! Can the same rye be done for Kik? I have a 10mm Kik lawn in Syd Nth west that has a dark corner patch that goes dead each winter.. I was looking at adding some rye to the corner only in winter but not sure if it’s the same process?
@theaussielawn

Yeah it's the same process Paul, But you would use a different chemical to kill off the rye when the time comes.

Hey Brenton, random question for you. Any tips for overseeding a ryegrass lawn WITH couch/bermuda seed? Should I kill the rye off asap or just keep it short while the couch seed is establishing? I should mention that the intention with this is to transition the lawn to couch long term
@theaussielawn
@theaussielawn Жыл бұрын
Yeah it would be best to kill off the rye first. Especially an established rye lawn . The rye contains endophytes that will hinder the germination and establishment of young couch seed

Hi Brentton, how would a verti reel compare to what the sb46 does mate, im thinking of building 1.
@theaussielawn
@theaussielawn Жыл бұрын
If your satisfied with only going down to ground level it will do a similar job just less aggressive . My 46 is set up to penetrate down to approximately 1” into the soil profile when required.

@@kaneharry5966I've heard their products are really good. I was hoping to find one that produces good results with once a season applications. Currently using the plant doctor nature's soil wetter but I'm inclined to think as Brenton has mentioned that to get the best results out of it, it needs to be applied more regularly than that.
@theaussielawn
@theaussielawn Жыл бұрын
The Plant Doctor product is a non petrochemical product where as most others are. It isn't as strong as some but for regular maintenance applications it works just fine.
