Dogs Helping Dogs

A bus load of dogs who have had all the opportunities in life giving back and helping their fellow dog mates who have had no such opportunities in life.
And boy, do they do a darn good job of it too.
Can I say how proud I am of these dogs? Because golly gosh I am.
Starting off in the morning with a quad run with Hope and Faith. Helping them by showing them how good it is to be a part of the pack, follow Luke, listen to his lead, focus on him and the game not each other.
Then it was time to help with Chance, Nevaeh, Rosco and Molly’s training. Offering incredibly hard distractions for them to ignore. Offering them support and positive interactions.
The Pugs were amazing for distraction training. Maggie too, the shelter dogs did extremely well.
Django was reunited with his Mumma Molly for the first time since he left her with the litter. He wasn’t able to before because she was aggressive but they were able to meet today without any negativity.
After training they headed to the pool for the afternoon. Rosco has progressed to be able to have some time off leash during the swim session. Not during the intense games like big ball, not ready for that yet, but he loved the swim session regardless. He’s a fish too!
And we’ve already spoken about Luna and her progress with water confidence. The pack certainly helped her with it, she couldn’t help but jump in with them each time.
It was a really fun day. For us humans and for the dogs.

The Therapy Pack is working miracles. They are so different personality wise but are all so easygoing around the Shelter dogs showing them they have nothing to fear. The distraction training was a success. Thank you to the pawrents of the dogs in the Therapy Pack for allowing them to be ambassadors for the Farm and helping with the Shelter dogs. The Shelter dogs learn from them, they get to have a day at the Farm with their buddies and Uncle Luke, Aunty Sam and Uncle Jase and we get to watch them all. It is a win-win-win. 🐾💕🐾💕

I'd like to thank all the pawrents of the therapy doggies for helping the Farm to rehabilitate the shelter pups. They now have a real 'chance' to be adopted because so many people and the therapy pups want them to have good lives and homes. So many therapy dogs have little legs and bodies but they happily trot next time imposing dogs like Chance and Rosco!

@@lena6elan I can't remember Zac's historic circumstances but clearly Zac does. My best guess he was a 'long haul' resident of Lee's protection society and then, though the Evans family, became adopted to very nice family BUT never forgot Luke. Yes, perfect description, he goes all 'dreamy'. I'm sure, if they could, the Evans family would adopt 1000 dogs, but that would be impossible. I do believe, if Zac (hypothetically) found himself homeless, he would be immediately added to the home pack. I think Luke also has a VERY special place in his heart for Zac.

Zac is beautiful mate so in love with a uncle Luke then again they all are why not a uncle Luke is one of kind angels on earth. Zac pawrents adoptee Zac from shelter as Chris special. Zac story is heartwarming. Search an old video you hear Luke talking about Zac ❤️❤️❤️

@@crobnson yes, that's how I recall his story. He's definitely a rescue pup but I believe his pawrents adopted him completely independently of The Farm. He certainly learnt to swim through The Farm and I am sure much more too. I think he's a really great ambassador for his breed which is so misunderstood by so many (including myself in the past).

His family wanted to give Zac every advantage - thus the Farm. I believe he also had private swimming lessons. There is a video where Zac's "Mom" talks about his adoption, etc.

During the shelter training, Freddo is always near Luke like "if you need me, i am here, i am ready, ok!?" The little moment with Molly and her puppy is very touching. And watching Roscoe enjoying the pool is so cool. He is a very good swimmer! Good job for all the shelter dogs. They evolve so well!

It always amazes me that with that many dogs around Uncle Luke does see everything, like Bandit getting piled on in the pool after beating the Swiss ball. And Bandit is so funny, he has figured out that he doesn't have to swim around chasing the ball, he waits for it to come to him, then pounces on it 😂

A wonderful video! Love the progress with the rescue dogs. Luna is amazing! I am so thankful she was removed from the shelter before she shutdown. I wonder if Django recognized his mom? I wonder if she recognized him. The SUP looked like a “Pug” board. 5 pugs all together. And watching Gilbert slowly attempting to get on the board. Then when Luke helped him he was happy. I laughed and smiled throughout the entire video. I think we all need to try to get our friends to subscribe to both channels. Working towards 100,000 plus!

What a nice video. I'm so glad to see Chance progressing again. In the beginning it seemed Chance was the one who would socialize the quickest, but Roscoe and Nevaeh surpassed. But now Chancey seems to be back on track. Maggie the institigator, Luke's new training assistant. It's always fun watching the pool pawty: Frankie frenchie and pug pawty on the SUP. And special kudos to Freddo and his new fishmate Luna. They both went after the green ball, but Freddo the gentleman let Luna have it in the end. Sweet Freddo.❤❤🙏🙏🐾🐾🌴🌴

Did anyone else catch the Milo photobomb at 1:06? Hysterical...everyone else running with the quad, he pops into view with a ball in his mouth!🤣🤣 The fast mo at the gate was pretty hilarious too. So many fun moments...Archie and the Staffygator, Rosco taking off across the field, Sophia's cameo at 6:04, Frankie on the SUP and his signature pop, Jed biting his splashes, the Pug board, Luna on the SUP, and Sir Bandit squashing the Swiss ball (thanks for the helping hand, Luke!). I love pool time, it's so joyful! The pugs on the surfboard was a great shot and I love how when Luke throws a toy off the dock ALL the dogs race forward but only about half a dozen take the plunge and the others all turn back at the edge! Never tire of Freddo, I love him so much! Great work with the rescue dogs the progress is amazing.

Saw Maggie try & start some trouble with shelter dog muzzled & on lead...could not believe her. Luke caught her too! All happened within a couple feet circle. Boy does she has nerve or can't help it. Maggie won't follow thru to fight but still she's a hand full! Great leadership & corrective actions taken asap. Enjoy the slow introduction of shelter dog events with farm & therapy dogs. fabulous intereactions, with the shelter dogs doing so well. Faith and Hope seem to be steadily shedding their negative energy and relaxing into the pack. Rosco and Chance doing so well and immediately speeding off into having fun. So many golden moments, incl a puggy pile on the sup board, Zac hanging out on edge of pool, Lunafish like an athletic dolphin, Maggie gamboling along on the run, holding back, just waiting for you to crank up the speed...(can't wait to see head to head between her and Nevaeh!)
