Sand the whole 4x8 sheet. Depending on what your doing put a coat of clears on it too. I do that strictly for shop cabinets. What do you think? Really enjoyed this channel.

if you got that plywood from home depot your HD is far superior to mine. First, i'm lucky to even find 3/4" plywood in my store. Second, when I do find it its full of voids and warped or beat up or both.

A Brilliant Build and Video, well done. The only thing i would change is the handle on the one and only door you have, i presume it's where the router goes. Why didn't you have the handle fitted the same way as the others? i know it's a door but surely you could have fitted the handle to match the others?, anyway apart from that handle, it is still a Brilliant Build. Thanks, Barry. I gave the door handle about 5 seconds of thought before attaching it. If this was a piece of furniture in my house I maybe would have done it differently. Thanks for watching!

Northern Tool. Here's a link www.northerntool.com/products/ultra-tow-4ft-x-8ft-folding-aluminum-utility-trailer-kit-1170-lb-load-capacity-49803. There are also steel versions that are a bit cheaper at Northern Tool and Harbor Freight. Thanks for watching!

Finishing my cabinet up, have a few questions. First where did you end up putting the paddle switch and also I also have a Rockler tabletop I’m planning on using. The back stretchers look like they will interfere a little with the holes that allow fence to be mounted. Guessing the best answer to this is to leave stretchers alone and attach T bolts for fence by backing drawers out? Thanks - Kevin H.
@TheAverageCraftsman
@TheAverageCraftsman 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Kevin, thanks for watching and commenting. I put the paddle switch on the right side of the cabinet but I really think it could go wherever it’s convenient for you. For the top question, aren’t there slots in the bottom of the cabinet that the t bolts ride in? You might send me pics of your issue via email. You can find that on my about page. Thanks!

Good video! What brand of dust hose do you have on your palm sander? I have been searching for a good one for a while.
@TheAverageCraftsman
@TheAverageCraftsman 4 жыл бұрын
Tucker, I use this hose: www.amazon.com/Bosch-16-4-Foot-Vacuum-VAC005/dp/B0000AV78B/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=bosch+shop+vac+hose&qid=1578327035&sr=8-1 It's a really good hose. It fits a dust deputy perfectly. I have no issues using it with my DeWalt sander and track saw, Kreg jig, Bosch Glide miter saw, spindle sander and it also fits Festool perfectly if you have some of those.

Just got these plans. What sizes did you cut the sheets to make them more manageable?
@TheAverageCraftsman
@TheAverageCraftsman 4 жыл бұрын
Hey Jonathan, thanks for buying the plans! I just cut them up to whatever I felt comfortable maneuvering on my table saw. Usually something less than 4x4. Good luck on your build!

I believe I used drywall screws to attach the top to the case which is perfectly fine. Pocket screws were used for the case joinery.
