Before I watched this video, I have a Wilson d9 hybrid and Wilson d9 driver. The best clubs I have in my bag. IMHO Wilson d9s are pound for pound the best clubs you can buy.

1 have Wilson d9 irons 5 to gap. Wilson driver &.3,5 and 7 woods. Just got 5 and 6 hybrids. They look amazing and I agree with an earlier comment they are the best pound for pound clubs around.

Thanks! I'm an 8 hcp and have played the wilson 3,4,5- hybrids for a while now. Very happy indeed! I like the slim, more iron-like looks, for me a big positive. Still easy to hit though.

Using your numbers I'll take the Wilson, I want height and at least a 45 degree angle into the green with enough spin to hold the green, Ping goes further who cares from where I'm hitting this club I want control. PS I have the D9 3 and 4 hybrid in my bag love these two clubs. The other clubs in my bag are Cobra clubs.

Just bought a Wilson D9 - 7 wood. Tried quite a few different brands but kept coming back to the Wilson. My choice going in was a Cobra as I have the driver, but it is heavey as it is adjustable. Even tried lighter shafts still head heavy. There are a lot of good clubs out there, but this Wilson seemed for me to be the best. Can't wait till spring. In Western prairies of Canada.

when i was a kid and first started golfing wilson were the clubs that everyone wanted. my wilson staffs got all the looks. i think wilson still has the record for most pga victories. great info as usual thank you.

I got a set of D9 hybrids 4 and 5 and irons froms 6 to gap wedge... the best clubs I have played so far. They provide loads of confidence that allowed me to take out an average of 17 shots per game this year. I can play under 90 with these... for a very high handicaper like me, they are amazing clubs.

As a beginner, I bought a D9 irons set and I am very happy with them, I do not have any wood drive or hybrid yet and still doing decent scores, now considering this hybrid. For those comment on the value over time, if you buy at half price do not expet to resell at high price, it paid off itself already. I do not plan to change clubs every 1-2 Year so I am happy to pay a bit more if performance justify, but NOT for the brand only. Thanks for the review.

Thanks for the Wilson tests great to see them given a chance. Great clubs great value. A £70 difference and similar results. Going back a while I had Wilson D300 against Callaway Big Bertha no difference except the Wilson’s were half the price. You do the maths as Dacia says.

Err, the distances were what you got on the dry ball data Andy so the Ping was always going to be long. Nice to see you give Wilson a go. Looks great for the money though I prefer the shape of the Ping.

Wilson are such an underrated company. We have limited access here in Aus, with only one retailer stocking them. Not ideal for a fitting but I suppose you can always go a try them out. The model CB's are just pure.

I would have tried out these Wilson Hybrids, had I been aware that they made higher lofted hybrids. I was looking for a 6 iron replacement ( 29 degree) because my data indicated that at my swing speed ( around 90 mph with Driver) my distances with my single length 6&7 iron were getting too close. I already had a Cobra 19 single length ( most versatile club in my bag) , an adjustable Cobra F7 22-25 hybrid ( set at 24.5) and a TS2 7 wood ( set at 21) . In the end I found a second hand TS2 27 hybrid that I set at 29 degrees/ open lie angle to do the 6 iron like shots. I noted that the Ping dispersion seems a little more left than the Wilson. The left side dominance is something many golfers don't like about hybrids. With the Ping you can tune this out ( same as the Titleist) with hosel adjustment. I found using a jumbo grip on the Cobra F7 did much the same thing, giving me a straighter ball flight ( closed the face slower)

I have a Ping G400 driver, but I have D9 3 wood, 3 and 5 hybrids, 5-Gap wedge. I love them and them as good as any other brand. The 3 wood and hybrids are beautiful and the irons are ok looking, but I prefer a beautiful and consistent shot way more and that’s what I get with the D9s. You can’t beat em for the $…

Wilson is really stepping up its game, pun intended. Bought their Infinite L putter and love it. I tested every brand before deciding on the Wilson. I can afford to buy a much more expensive putter but the Wilson simply performed best for me. At $99 a true bargain IMO.

I have the ping g425 hyrbid 2 and 3.... I'm a +1 handicap.... Main reason I wouldn't change is because I can set the lie andgle flat to prevent hooks . Plus it's super forgiving

The differences come in resell price when you decide to change it. The Wilson will look more beaten up and be worth a fraction of what you paid. Ping will retain far more value

I did give it a shot , the Wilson was ok, I ended up getting the Ping g410 less than the 425 and hits and plays just as well. The Wilson lagged behind in distance and feel. I also did not like the glossy finish.

Dont for get adjustability , some time a price is worth it , clubs are like cars you need to look a resale value as well, not saying that will change your mind but making a sound decision needs thought , enjoy the game
