What I like about your channel Andy, is that it’s more than just getting into the course and hitting g the ball you appreciate the surroundings. It’s the course that matters, yes a nice clubhouse etc has an impact but it’s the 2-4 hours out playing which is giving the memories that matter. As someone with a high cholesterol reading not sure a double cheese and bacon butty would be my Dr’s recommendation but with the walking you have to do on a course like Kendal probably a very good choice
@philscott39828 ай бұрын
I used to live over that side of the country and have been lucky enough to play Kendal on a few occasions. Awesome views just like Windermere golf club. Try Kirkby Lonsdale golf club on the edge of the Dale's. Awesome views and the course is usually in great condition. Plus the green fees are very reasonable. Keswick golf club also has great views but play it in a dry spell as it can be soggy.

I know you like playing new courses on your own, Andy, but having a game with Lou ups your competitive streak, and that makes the golf content even better. What a great Hidden Gem Kendel is. Love the look of its rises and dips, and I can imagine having a one night, two day trip to play the hills there and then battle the water down at Carus Green the next day. Great video content of the landscape as usual. I'm worried about your cholesterol levels though after that breakfast you had and your dinner the night before!

Interesting and different approach. Fascinating to see the different courses that are not resorts or expensive fee layouts. I doubt I could play them as I will be 83 in June and had a quadruple heart bypass a few years ago, and seems clear no carts are used here. I agree walking is at the heart of golf and used to walk and carry the bag. But age forces some changes. Still, I am in good shape and can still gat a carry of 205 with the driver, and it would be devastating to have to give up the game because walking the full 18 was problematic. So it’s either a caddy or a cart. But please keep doing these videos they are a rare treat. And do use the track man so we can see the flight of the ball.

I wasn't sure about the format the first time around, And, but I'm keen to give it a go now. Kendal GC is a lovely looking course with fantastice views. Shame the greens weren't a bit better. I feel they robbed you both a few times. It is great to have Lewis involved again, and his reaction on the 12th green @21:29 was classic. Despite being a pro, he is still one of us - just a golfer 😅.

Another great video Andy! Loved how you kept the camera rolling at the end to keep us in suspense over whether you found your keys...or was it just a clever ploy for a bit of product placement and to show off all the pxg cart bag has to offer?!!😂 Seriously though, great views and an interesting looking golf course; some great tee shots from you both and the styme twist at the end was brill! You could tell Lewis was taking it seriously when he dropped the f bomb after that putt he left short!😆 I look forward to the next video. I played silverdale last week which was a great, quirky course and not far from Kendal so if you are back up there at some point, do a vlog from there 👍

Stitched up like a kipper, Andy!😂. When Lou called it with one to play I laughed my head off. Hoisted by your own Petard. Brilliant, in a friendly way. Anyway, liked this new matchplay style. Keep it going.

I went and got fitted for a PXG Black Ops driver (Tour) 4 weeks ago. Been playing with it for 3 weeks now. Absolutely the best, easiest, most forgiving driver I have ever hit. The Ping was good too, but the average distance was about 8-10 yds less on average. I use to be an 6 handicap - but stopped playing for nearly 7 yrs (had children and health issues) and starting playing about once a month for the last 18 months. I was using a Titleist TSR3 driver my cousin gave me last year. Although I could occasionally hit one 280-290 with that driver - The PXG driver is so consistent on literally anywhere I hit it on the face - my ball carries 250-260 consistently (275 on average) if I square one up properly I can hit one 275 carry - but I will take 250 all day long and in bounds. My dispersion is so much better from 32 yds to 20 yds (left to right). I've been able to post some decent rounds and hoping that I will be back to a 8-10 handicap by the end of this summer. Going to work on getting some new irons (leaning towards Titleist 150/200 combo set - or - Mizuno 243) then fill out the lower and upper end of my bag. Thank you for your content Andy. It is not only pleasurable to watch - but helpful for product selection. Cheers!

Maybe not the most out of the way course in the farthest reaches of north of England - Alston Moor (allegedly the highest course in England) probably counts as the furthest from civilisation although both Bellingham or Allendale (not that far from Alston Moor) would be close. Of those 3 courses I have only played Bellingham, which has lots of changes in elevation - you definitely want a buggy. As for Kendal, it takes an AVG video to show just how beautiful it is
