I rarely get new games nowadays (I only have a laptop), but you almost have me convinced that I should check out the game's system requirements, by now.. You already had my interest halfway through Episode 1, but 3/4 into this one I'm almost sold.. Because, what I've come to realize is that this game actually contains elements from a wide range of games! Obviously the taming method and creatures are Pokémon inspired.. The battle system is quite Conan Exiles like, it seems.. The planting and such is Ark like.. (many QOL features from Ark mods are covered by the Pals helping) The way Pals help you craft reminds me of one of them horrorgames where you can help each other out on repairing some machines (is it Hunt?).. The way Pals helps you with farming/gathering is almost Settlers like.. And probably loads more I wont notice unless I've watched someone stream the games.. 😂

Just found this channel through this video. Finally, someone who is doing a play through video (old school). I'm late to these vids because I've been watching this game being streamed for like two days solid. You're lucky you mostly do video content and only had to do the Pokemon spiel once, most streamers just gave up explaining after a while because the chats are just *constant* repetitions of the same basic comments and questions. Even worse than stream chats usually are lol. So far though every single person I've watched has gone in skeptical thinking "this is going to be kind of jank and weird probably but we can play it a bit" and over the course of a few hours flipped to "I would die for this game." It's so good. I can't wait for it to release at like 9pm my time or something like that so I can get home after dinner and jump right into it.

If the Ark devs are smart, they will crib the Assigning Creatures to the base and do shit this game does. Cause man, these little dudes are friggin' smart. They know to put the Grown Berries into their food basket. Also I think you might want to put the remaining ones in your party, as they get experience from everything you do it seems. Now to follow up with a question, do the Base Pals gain Experience from doing stuff?
