When the CEO says in the video that they don't try and convince people of a certain religion but just to see what the Bible means to them, this turns me away from supporting this place and here is why. If you come into contact with the truthfulness of the message of Christ and that eternal life and eternal hell is real based upon whether Jesus Christ is Lord of your life, why would you not want to convince people of that? I preach that to myself as I am not perfect of that. Honestly if the museum exhibits are focused on something other than Christ, the focus is off - I won't jump to conclusions but I don't see a main focus on Christ on the website, or from what the CEO is saying. At least if the museum encourages people to read the Bible God can be glorified.
@saragreen11433 жыл бұрын
Agreed. It is a beautiful museum but the Bible is not just to be “explored” by people of all religious. Every part of of Scripture points to the Lord Christ

@tichintors89082 жыл бұрын
Although I agree with your premise, I think that the point of the museum is not to just preach Christ. One will only come to know Christ through the reading of the scriptures. The intent is to show people the true historical claims of the Bible. And thus, people will find JESUS through their own investigations. This happened to Authors the likes of Lee-Strobel and so many others..

M I Well you went to great lengths assuming my understanding of the Bible. So instead of engaging in a proper debate I’ll leave you with your preconceived reality of others perception of a historical text. Must be a miserable reality defending a text that has worked to suppress the masses for centuries. A text you all use to guide your moral principles, ethics and provide meaning to life. Yet you put effort into arguing which “truth” is being depicted. This is the reason religion isn’t taught in school. It might be difficult to comprehend because in some way it may compromise the originality of your religion but the same teachings you find sacred are not unique. There are proto-religions that long date the traditions and practices set forth by the Bible regardless of whose “truth” you are depicting at the Museum of the Bible in DC.
