This arrived in a plain brown branded box. Once opened everything is tightly packed into polystyrene, and wrapped in plastic sleeves and bubble wrap. This comes with a sheet showing a linking OR code to follow to get the instructions.
First impressions: this is a small and compact unit with rubber sucker feet on the bottom so it holds on really well to a flat smooth surface. It has a simple turn dial power control with two settings and is easy to adjust. All the parts seem good quality and well made and fit well to the main machine, and the cable is in my opinion a good length.
After I had unpacked everything I gave it all a good wash to remove any remaining manufacturing taint, and then followed the QR code to read the instructions. I didn’t find the instructions very good as they lacked a lot of usage and assembly detail I would consider important.
I decided to try this out first slicing with some cucumber and carrots. The slicing feature results in very thin slices with the first power level spinning really fast. It did make short work of the slicing but the thickness is not adjustable and in my opinion the slices are too thin.
I tested out the grating with some cheese which is a simple case of turning the metal wheel over to the grating side. I thought this did a really good job and took no time at all to work through the cheese on the lowest power setting.
I switched over to the chopping function and fitted the blade after removing the protective plastic covers. I tried this out with an onion and it worked really well dicing the onion in no time at all.
I have used this several times now since it arrived and it works well, although I have not found anything I need to go to the second power level on as the first is already extremely fast. I have not tried the slicing feature since testing it. I have used the grating and chopping which both work really well.
Overall mixed results, the chopping and grating features work really well but the slicing in my opinion is only really of use if you want really thin slices. The unit holds well to a flat surface and it certainly is very quick, and everything washes up quickly and easily. The instructions in my opinion are inadequate and really need improving.

I just bought, for myself, the Cooks Essentials 400 compact food processor. From QVC.....It's practically the same as yours!....Small but perfectly formed...Am really happy with it. Bought it because I now find grating and chopping hard, with my arthritis, and as there are only two of us at home now, I didn't want a large processor....The only drawback, is the mess it can make, when grating, it flies all over the place, this problem was fixed when I placed a bigger bowl underneath the chute...Solved!
