Another great tip! Use this all the time. Same use cases. Love it for Kontakt instruments because they overload Logic pretty quick. I’ve begun blending 3-4 external drum libraries for different sounds for cymbals, snare, kick, toms and this is super helpful.

That mellotron has a "Strawberry Fields" vibe. 👍🏻That chick has a nice voice.

I loved this video. Thank you. re. the melatron delay, I get that in orchestral instruments like Cellos etc. There is a time shift option on channel strip to compensate for this, so that you can still quantize your notes, but they will play correctly in time. I have liked and subscribed 🙂

After doing the bounce in place, do you turn off flextime or deactivate plugins on the old source track? Just moved to Logic from DP, great videos you have here!

How have I used this tool? Crud! I haven’t! I imagined minutes from my past flying out the window while watching this video. I just this year made the switch from GB to Logic. I’ve been picking up some of the nice features in Logic while working on an album that was recorded in GB. But eager to get on with things, I only watched a few Logic tutorials. Bounce in place will save tons of time and tedium, especially with tuned vocal tracks. Thank you Colin!

How did you get the bip to start at zero ? I have a similar situation where a track starts at measure 6. When I bip it starts at measure 6 instead of zero . I need it to start at zero because I am sending tracks to another engineer . Thanks

@thebandguide Great video! I am running into one issue. I pitch corrected vocals with FlexPitch but when I bounce the files in place or even try to export them, the notes change. Some of the notes are slightly off (from pitch perfect to -17) but others change notes all together (E to D#). The exported version sounds closest to the original but still a tad off. Ideally, I want to be send exactly how I have edited it but I am struggling to get it out just how I have it now. How do I do this? What am I doing wrong on the other versions? Thanks in advance!

2:21 Logic needs to change that The box should not make a mono track into stereo it should have an automation box and a stereo box

It will especially take a while if you have a Mac with a lousy 16GB of RAM because they are so egregiously overpriced.
